serene and comfortable. nice buffet. good massage/spa.

may need to modernize the interior and eradicate the mosquito plague.

on the approach to the hotel, we were dreading the naff pink wedding cake exterior. upon entering the premises, we were pleasantly surprised by the smooth cool service of the reception, then again by the serence calmness at the pool area.definitely good value for money

Restaurant Tip : the peranakan restaurant closeby has very good vegetarian menu.

The location in the center is perfect and the pool area is fantastic. We were free upgraded to a 2 level suite - absolute perfect.

The prices in the resturant are very upscale

We stayed 3 nights in Yogya and had the good luck to get a free upgrade for all 3 night to a suite. The location of the is very well and our room and the service met the 5 stars requirements. The pool area is very nice - even if there are only a few sun beds available - we got some.

Restaurant Tip : We tried the Omar Duwur Restaurant. It's a 15-20 minutes Taxi ride from the Hotel but worth to go there. The food is excellent and compared to the prices in the Hotel the price - quality ration is excellent.

clean, good quality and good breakfast area and good service. Food as well quite good

a little bit old

it is a good old fashion hotel located in the center of the city. the facilities are still quite good beside the sauna that is very small and only with two showers. The food for the breakfast is good and the hotel is clean. The staff is friendly and the service is quite good.

Location, extreme cleanliness, fantastic pool - areas for both kids and adults, Great range of food; all delicious and reasonably priced.

None

My family and I stayed at the Melia Purosani Yogyakarta Hotel for four days. On arriving to the hotel, I noticed how clean it was, both visually and there was no stale smoking smell either. The staff were extremely helpful especially with my 2 yr old son and 5mth old daughter, helping whenever they saw us coming. The rooms were spacious, ultra clean and had all the amenities plus more - toothbrushes, combs, etc. The pool area was fantastic for kids, has a slide into the pool and lots of interesting areas to explore. The pool also caters for adults with secluded areas in the pool. My son especially loved watcing the frogs and fish in the ponds. Breakfast had all that you could think of. Location was great - only a 5 min walk to the main shopping street - my 2 yr old could walk there easily. We dined at the hotel most nights - great food and resonable prices. They even catered for special dietry requests for my son. I would stay here again in an instant. Highly recommended.

good location, very friendly and helpful stuff

floor dirty, 66'000 IdR for wireless internet, for a 5 star hotel it would need some renovation in the room

only worth the price because everything was fully booked in Yogja after rhamadan... for a third of the price in normal times i will get the same standard in other indonesian hotels. so value for money - there is an indiscrepancy

location and services are good

a bit expensive but paid off with the services

Very strategic location, in the city center but nice and quiet. Sultan Palace, Water Castle are less then 10 min drive. The souvenir street is walkable in 5 minutes. Food are tasty, and room is clean and spacious.

Travel tip : if too hot to walk during the day, try peddycab...nice breeze and cheap too. I always bargain for half price, then finally give them more considering their hardworking to carry (the heavy) us

Hospitality, Location and Clean

Interior is a little bit aging

I recommend this hotel very much, I didn't have any trouble and inconvenience during my stay. Location, cleanliness and staff satisfy me. Especially staff are friendly and helpful, they can speak English well, and some staff can speak Japanese. I could go to shopping street on foot. The air conditioner was faulty, it was too cold even at its weakest setting.

The hotel location is great, close to Malioboro Street and conveniently located for shopping area and Yogyakarta sultan's palace. The staff of the hotel is friendly and helpfull for the guests.

First night at our bedroom has a lot of musquitos, and breakfast foods was not great either.

I still recomending this hotel, hopefully they will provide a better services for their guests.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : because of the location, you can visit Yogyakarta Sultan Palace, and historical Jalan Malioboro within five minutes.

Hotel is walking distance from the "Main" roadwalk - Malioboro. Surrounded by whatever amenities you may want - food, groceries, pharmacies, etc. The SPA facilities and staff were notably above average. Reception/concierge and general levels of service are above average. A nice consistent level of service throughout the hotel

The reception and general areas are very nice and appear to be newly renovated. This image differs slightly with other areas of the hotel, such as the walkways and the rooms, visitors will quickly be able to tell that the hotel isn't as new as the lobby looks. Not saying they are in poor condition, just not as glossy as the first impression. The pool and gym facilities are rather lacking though.

If you are the type that lazes around the hotel all day, eating in and lounging by the pool, then I'd say that there are hotels with plusher facilities to really pamper yourself with. However, if you treat the hotel simply as a place to spend the night, then this hotel is more than sufficient as the location and surrounding are really very convenient. I would have no qualms about staying in this hotel again, as all I require for myself are that the rooms and beds are decent and that the Spa is of a certain caliber. I would recommend the hotel to friends who plan to visit Yogjakarta.

Nightlife Tip : There are a few clubs located walking distance from the hotel. -Biggest tip ever, don't go during Ramadhan..a lot of stuff closes during this period.

Have stayed at the Melia Purosani previously and have always appreciated their friendly professional service. Excellent location near the heart of Yogyakarta.

Would have liked a lower rate! Was disappointed that they didn't have free WiFi in the rooms (had to purchase internet hook-up time.

The Melia Purosani is very clean, well managed, and centrally located. The food in the resturant is great. While some hotels add extra for breakfast, the Melia Purosani offers a nice complete buffet breakfast for free. The rooms are clean and spacious. Check-in and out was very quick and professional. Staff is very friendly.

Shopping Tip : The Melia Purosani is only 2 blocks east of Jl Malioboro for great shopping.

- nice room - very good breakfast - resonable pool - clean, well maintained and good service

- under equiped fitness room - could offer some outdoor playground for kids

All in all no complains. A beautiful hotel with an affordable price. It is close to down town can go everywhere by rickshaw. We enjoyed the breakfast. Very clean room and very good room service. People all in town very friendly. Nice climate with a cold breeze. Beautiful garden with fishes and a reasonable pool. Indoor playground available but could have some outdoor entertainment as space is enough.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Borobudur is an absolutely must see. It is a masterpiece of art and offers a superb view over the whole region.

Location. Clean. Safe.

Slow service.

As above, location a few minutes walk where all tourists want to stroll. Friendly staff, are helpful, kind, and try to please. Rooms are clean, though a bit worn from age. Breakfast buffet is hearty, but not 5 star taste. Slow service, though as Asia in general not surprising. Better food service would make one happier. In all NOT a 5 star hotel relative to western standards, nevertheless a good hotel, which would be a great hotel if the price were lower.

Shopping Tip : A shopping mall near the hotel has everything one needs, ask the staff how to get there--less than 10 minutes walking. As well, the travel tours the hotel offers are reasonable in price.

Hospitality, helpfull staff

Old bath & gym equipment, too few restaurant staff

The hotel is quite good. Perfect place to have a nice sleep. The restaurant is too small on holiday season and too few staffs to help you pour the coffee. Old bath give me problem clogged drain. Anyway, I will come again to Melia Purosani on another trip to Jogja.

Hotel Feature Tip : Quiet place
