Very classy hotel!

he have stayed for 3 nights in the phoenix hotel yogyakarta. it is a very old en stylisch building. the hotel is located close the city center. the restaurant is good but expensive in comparison with restaurants in the city.

Fantastic decor, wonderful staff
Buffet breakfast is superb

Gorgeous room, friendly staff,outstanding food. We had been told of the breakfast buffet but it wasn't included in our rate - very glad we added it on arrival. Many Javanese touches that added to the atmosphere - really felt like we were in Indonesia and not just another international hotel. We would return for another stay.

Best Hotel in Yogya
Modern Hotel with Historic Architecture

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. My children loved to swim at hotel swimming pool. Hotel staff can give useful information about tourist attraction around Yogyakarta.
Room is very neat and clean and i think the hotel give us very good room with swimming pool view.

The Best Hotel we have ever stayed in!
Perfect Location, Culturally pleasant, Five Star service and very very homey.

love the nostalgic historical ambience, very artsy and homey. the staffs were very helpful and treated us like royalties. food was divine and the live jazzy piano was a real treat at the restaurant.
Shopping Tip:
Traditional markets such as Pasar Beringharjo and the streets of Malioboro is a must see, it will really change your life literally, people are heartwarming and the experience is truly priceless!

The most amazing thing is how we managed to book 3 rooms for 3 nights at one of the most posh hotels in Yogya at such a good price. The hotel upgraded our rooms from Superior to Deluxe with no extra charge. Breakfast spread was fantastic and the service superb. The children enjoyed the lovely pool. My hubby and I had a most relaxing spa!

we stayed one night here we when arrived in yogyakarta and then came back one night later because we liked it so much. the food is great, the staff are attentive and friendly, the room is very clean and the building itself is charming. it is walking distance (on a busy street) to marlioboro, where there are lots of food stalls and touristy shops.

Really nice hotel and great location
wonderful and clean rooms and a nice location close to shopping

really enjoyed it; were helpful in booking cars for sightseeing but found them to be more expensive
great indonesian restaurant just opposite to the hotel for excellent and a whole lot cheaper food

we choose this hotel because we have read the reviews in the agoda and it was true.The hotel is very clean and hospitality of the staff is very nice.They upgrade our room to deluxe as our request.We will stay at this hotel again,if we come to yogyakarta.
Restaurant Tip:
there is kedai tiga nyonya near hotel, i love wedang ronde and the food is very tasteful
