If you are a couple of friends going together, this is a great place, but you shouldnt expect parties or a lively bar ,nearby. The girl who took care of us during our stay was lovely and you could tell she had had a lot of training.

The ryokan has a beautiful garden, 3 onsen baths, all worth trying. The meal was huge, and the matsuba crab is highly recommended (available only in winter months)! The town is nice, but would be better to walk around in the spring or summer.
