Hakata/Fukuoka Station has a marvelous, large shopping area with souveniors, food, books, etc. The opening to this area is relatively small and therefore half hidden from the main concourse.

The location near the Hakata Railway Station is ideal if you have traveled on the Shinkansen - we did not hear any railway noise in the hotel.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a good walking track from the hotel into Fukuoka and back though we did diverge quite a lot from the official walk.
