Couples United States of America, February 05, 2013	Close to station, homey delicious dinner and friendly host 7.3 The ryokan is about 5 minutes walk (about 3 blocks) from Hakodate station, so it was super convenient with our luggage, even in the winter. The building itself is rather old. The first floor has been renovated but the second, where the guestrooms are, is original. Still a pleasant stay. If you're someone who dislikes other people knowing when you leave and when you're coming back to a hotel, staying at a ryokan is not for you, as the lady who runs the establishment keeps an eye on people coming in and out and will ask what time you're returning. The best part was the traditional Hakodate dinner at the ryokan, which included local fish, soup, and the famous Hokkaido crab. Reservations for the dinner are required every night.
Vasin M. Couples Thailand, December 28, 2012	Hotel not so far from jr station Friendly 7.3 Hotel is in Japanese style but the bad thing why must charge for heater 600 yen. It's must be include. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Hi lights of Hakodate is in the morning market which don't far from jr station.
Ho Y. Couples Hong Kong, December 20, 2012	A small hotel with a friendly owner In the heart of city & a taste of Japanese home living 9 Excellent experiences staying in this small hotel. Japanese home living style. Very nice & friendly lady running the whole hotel all by herself. My wife actually made good friend with the lady & having drinks with her both nights we stayed there. Room is relatively small but clean & comfortable. Delicious & top quality local home made breakfast. Only issue for some people may be its public bath & toilet facility but not an issue to me for few days stay.
