Spent one night in this hotel during my visit to Hakone and Gotemba. Just one bus ride from Hakone Yumoto train station. Hotel is located alongside the main road in Hakone, very near to bus stop in front of Shinanoki Highland Hotel.
Room is quite spacious for a couple. We really loved the kotatsu (Japanese table with electric heater) that kept us warm in early spring. There is also private open air bath just outside of your window room facing the garden full of hydrangea flowers. The stone bath tub is spacious for single person to soak into. Be careful with bath water temperature as it is very hot with no means to lower it. Public open air bath on the second floor is recommended as it is much spacious with and much bearable water temperature.
We were served traditional Japanese breakfast specific for each guest. Drinks, however, were self-service.

Relaxation in the quiet Hakone

The public/common hot springs were great, and if you're the shy type, you may wish to opt for the private outdoor bath with your room. Overall it was a pleasant stay, with good food. But the price for the room was a bit steep... then again, it's actually one of the more affordable places in Hakone.

< From Hakone Yumoto >Please take Hakone tozan bus(bound for Tougendai)and get off the bus at Shinanoki Hakone High Land Hotel . It takes approx 25min and costs 730yen. The Hotel is just across the main street from the bus stop.

< From Tokyo >By Tomei high way Atsugi IC, in way of Odawara Atsugi way, it takes about 15 km from Hakoneguchi IC.
< From Nagoya >By Tomei high way Gotenba IC, in way of Otome Touge, it takes about 12 km as far as Hakone Tounosawa.
