Plaza Hotel Himeji Info
This is a cozy and quaint accommodation suitable for back packers and budget travelers interested in Himeji's rich culture and history. Be sure to sample fresh local produce and other Japanese cuisine from the onsite restaurant throughout the day. Business travelers will enjoy the internet access throughout the hotel. Spend a day sightseeing and exploring the hotel's surrounding area. The Samurai Castle is located very close to the hotel. Accessing other parts of the city is fairly easy as the bullet train is nearby. The Plaza Hotel's lobby may be used for small scale meetings and chatting with friends.

Shabby,grubby and over-priced
Compared to other Japanese hotels we stayed in the Plaza was overpriced. The room was shabby and the hotel itself was grubby. That's okay if the price matched but it didn't. I do not recommend this hotel.

Good hotel, located close to JR station.
Old style Aircons, embedded in the window sill
I have stayed there only for one night during the short rush sightseeing trip around Japan. Arrived late and leave early in the morning. Good suitable room. Also I was kindly advised about Himeji castle opening time - it helped to make plan for the next day.

Near the train station. Great sauna. Staff was very courteous.
Room was a bit stuffy, needed more cool air from the air conditioner.
We enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Himeji Hotel. Checked in early and the staff held our bag giving us the opportunity to shop w/out having to take our luggage along with us. Great sauna area, very relaxing to soak and gave me a place to get ready in the morning allowing my wife full use of the room facilities :) I would stay at the Plaza if ever in the Himeji area again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hotel close to the train station and the famous Himeji Castle.
