Very convenient location -- around 10 minutes walk to Hiroshima station. If you wish to take the streetcars the nearest station is only 5 minutes by foot. It is even trivial to walk to tourist destinations like the Peace Park and A-Bomb memorial site, which around 25 minutes away on foot.
Slightly noisy as our room faced a very busy street. Some items in the breakfast buffet were cold.
Overall I would recommend the Ark Hotel to travellers who wish to stay in a clean, convenient location in HIroshima. The free breakfast buffet and public bath were nice additions.
Try to get a room that doesn't face the busy street as it was quite noisy at night, and stick with the Japanese food for breakfast to ensure that is hot.

Proximity to the station is great - a five minute walk and easily found from the internet map directions. Good clean comfortable rooms, good choice at breakfast (included in price) as well. Free use of of an inhouse onsen for those interested. Plenty of local restaurants nearby and at the station.
One of our rooms included an automatic massage chair - good experience, but could do without it.
Can't go past this for convenience - a five min walk from the station. The rooms were clean and comfortable, usual size for a Japanese hotel but quite adequate for two adults. The rooms were pleasingly quiet, despite the proximity to the station and a busy part of the city. We would happily stay here again.
Restaurant Tip : Plenty of local restaurants with menus in English at the nearby station mall.

Very close to JR Hiroshima station
Breakfast space was very crowded and limited choice
For late arrivals or early departures from JR Hiroshima, this hotel is perfect. The tram is very close too although we found we could easily walk to the various sights from this location and a good walk back from the restaurants at night. The room was quite small but not uncomfortable. The common bath on Level 10 is worth a try - different times for women and men. Breakfast was limited and the eating area quite crowded.
Hotel Feature Tip : Only women need a PIN for the common bath (ask at reception). To get to the hotel the easist route is to take the South Exit, take the underpass, find the tourist information centre (TIC) in the south underpass and they will show you the hotel on a map and let you know which exit to take from the station (which is very close to the TIC).
