Excellent location, very pleasant and clean rooms, very good breakfast, excellent bath facility. I can't really think of any weak points. For the price that we paid, the hotel is excellent. Two blocks from the train station, very visible, 15 minutes to the Peace Memorial, excellent facilities with a very interesting public bath facility on the 10-th floor, which is an eye opener for a non-Japanese visitor. Stores and market nearby.

Very convenient location -- around 10 minutes walk to Hiroshima station. If you wish to take the streetcars the nearest station is only 5 minutes by foot. It is even trivial to walk to tourist destinations like the Peace Park and A-Bomb memorial site, which around 25 minutes away on foot. Slightly noisy as our room faced a very busy street. Some items in the breakfast buffet were cold. Overall I would recommend the Ark Hotel to travellers who wish to stay in a clean, convenient location in HIroshima. The free breakfast buffet and public bath were nice additions.
Try to get a room that doesn't face the busy street as it was quite noisy at night, and stick with the Japanese food for breakfast to ensure that is hot.
