the rooms are a bit small but this is common in japan. the hotel is very well located for travellers arriving by train and you can walk to the centre of town in 20 mins or get the tram in 5.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Its biggest advantage is its location. 5 minutes from the station, so it is a perfect base for one day visits around the area.The public baths on the upper most floor have a funny schedule, not everybody can go at the same hours

With the price I have paid I think to go to a more modern hotel nearby. bigger room and better rooms conditions. It was too crowdy and very complicate to climbe 3 flors you have to use 2 different elevators and a corridor between them, Missing continental breakfast with bigger selection and varaity of bread and vegetables
Shopping Tip:
central train and bus station are very close with retaurantas and shops

Excellent location, very pleasant and clean rooms, very good breakfast, excellent bath facility.

Two blocks from the train station, very visible, 15 minutes to the Peace Memorial, excellent facilities with a very interesting public bath facility on the 10-th floor, which is an eye opener for a non-Japanese visitor. Stores and market nearby.

Very convenient location -- around 10 minutes walk to Hiroshima station. If you wish to take the streetcars the nearest station is only 5 minutes by foot. It is even trivial to walk to tourist destinations like the Peace Park and A-Bomb memorial site, which around 25 minutes away on foot.

Overall I would recommend the Ark Hotel to travellers who wish to stay in a clean, convenient location in HIroshima. The free breakfast buffet and public bath were nice additions.
Try to get a room that doesn't face the busy street as it was quite noisy at night, and stick with the Japanese food for breakfast to ensure that is hot.

Comfortable, clean & great location
Proximity to the station is great - a five minute walk and easily found from the internet map directions. Good clean comfortable rooms, good choice at breakfast (included in price) as well. Free use of of an inhouse onsen for those interested. Plenty of local restaurants nearby and at the station.

Can't go past this for convenience - a five min walk from the station. The rooms were clean and comfortable, usual size for a Japanese hotel but quite adequate for two adults. The rooms were pleasingly quiet, despite the proximity to the station and a busy part of the city. We would happily stay here again.
Restaurant Tip:
Plenty of local restaurants with menus in English at the nearby station mall.
