The free western breakfast was excellent. The unlimited coffee in the evening and the laundry machines were very helpful. The front desk spoke limited English and could not always help with directions, but they did try. The location and price of this hotel were the main reasons I chose this hotel. We enjoyed and appreciated very much the free Western breakfast so that we did not need to try and find food in the mornings. We also used the washing machine and dryer which was also convenient. The front desk was always helpful even with their limited English. I would recommend this hotel to others.
Restaurant Tip : A restaurant very near to the hotel recommended by the staff at the front desk that served okonomiyaki.

Local to all the main historic sites. Very clean. Staff helpful and polite. Arrived at 10 am after long flight. Could not check-in before 3 pm. First annoyed but found out that this is the way things are done in Japan. As a diabetic, I missed 'non sugar' sweeteners for my tea, coffee and breakfast cereal. Hotel within walking distance from major historic sites. Hotel very, very clean with staff polite and extremely helpful. Room had good standard with (for me) a fantastic new experience of heated toilet seat. At breakfast we could enjoy different kinds of bread and pastries every day. Free internet was also a massive plus. With good guidance from the people at the reception desk, we found it easy to get around town by tram car.
