next to Peace Memorial Park
we only stayed one night in Hiroshima, so there is not much I can say about the hotel. it's location is very good, if you plan to visit the Peace Memorial Park, as it is just next to it. for restaurants though there are not many around the hotel, you can find plenty inside the Hiroshima train station. the food inside the hotel we have not tried.

Cheap, close to attractions, good size tv.
No english tv (other than stuff you had to pay for)
Nice little hotel. Value for money is what initially attracted me. Room was nice, had all the essentials. TV Chanels were all Japanese, which was a shame but not a big deal. Bathroom was strange (like a shell inside the room itself, felt like i was in a boat) but still had everything a bathroom should. Staff at check in were polite and friendly. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food or service there. Otherwise a nice hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Right next to the peace park. Perfect if you're in town for that.

- hotel's proximity to the Peace Memorial Park
- Reasonable price
- room decor is a bit dated but still okay
Sun Route Hiroshima hotel is within walking distance to the Peace Memorial Park, hence it is very convenient. You could take a leisurely stroll after breakfast to the war museum and then head to the Peace Memorial Park after that.
Heard that the view from the restaurant on the 15F is good but we did not do breakfast at the hotel. Had breakfast at a cafe nearby instead.
If you are using the JR pass, catch the subway from JR Hiroshima station. It is only 2 or 3 stops away.
Room is of a comfortable size and the price is very reasonable for its location.
What surprised us was that the hotel charged about JPY200-300 (can't remember the exact amount) for a plastic bag to cover our suitcase. There was a sudden downpour on that late morning when we checked out. The charge is a bit on the high side.
