Hotel location is great - walking distance from Hiroshima main sites and close to many restaurants.
Room is big and convinient.
Staff is kind We couldn't open room window and air condition was strangle. Hotel location is good, we had to negotiate for the non-smoking room already it typed as a request in Agoda's vaucher remarks. By the end of the negotiation we received the non-smoking room although orginaly was claimed that such a room not available.
Most staff's English is basic.
However, room condition is good and we enjoyed our stay

next to Peace Memorial Park we only stayed one night in Hiroshima, so there is not much I can say about the hotel. it's location is very good, if you plan to visit the Peace Memorial Park, as it is just next to it. for restaurants though there are not many around the hotel, you can find plenty inside the Hiroshima train station. the food inside the hotel we have not tried.

Cheap, close to attractions, good size tv. No english tv (other than stuff you had to pay for) Nice little hotel. Value for money is what initially attracted me. Room was nice, had all the essentials. TV Chanels were all Japanese, which was a shame but not a big deal. Bathroom was strange (like a shell inside the room itself, felt like i was in a boat) but still had everything a bathroom should. Staff at check in were polite and friendly. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food or service there. Otherwise a nice hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Right next to the peace park. Perfect if you're in town for that.

- room decor is a bit dated but still okay Sun Route Hiroshima hotel is within walking distance to the Peace Memorial Park, hence it is very convenient. You could take a leisurely stroll after breakfast to the war museum and then head to the Peace Memorial Park after that.
Heard that the view from the restaurant on the 15F is good but we did not do breakfast at the hotel. Had breakfast at a cafe nearby instead.
If you are using the JR pass, catch the subway from JR Hiroshima station. It is only 2 or 3 stops away.
Room is of a comfortable size and the price is very reasonable for its location.
What surprised us was that the hotel charged about JPY200-300 (can't remember the exact amount) for a plastic bag to cover our suitcase. There was a sudden downpour on that late morning when we checked out. The charge is a bit on the high side.

Great location, very short walk to Peace Memorial Museum complex. This hotel was perfectly situated on the water right by the Peace Memorial Museum complex. Also very accessible by streetcar if you decide to venture into the shopping plaza at night.
Rooms were standard clean rooms, like many rooms in Japan, and not particularly memorable. Although I had no complaints. The staff was also friendly and could speak English. Reception was also nice enough to help us book additional rooms elsewhere in Japan.

This was a reasonable hotel for the price. We specifically wanted a hotel close to the Peace Park, and this fit the bill by being just across the river. In fact from our window we could see the Atomic Dome building up the river. The bed and pillows were a bit hard, but we found that true in most places in Japan. There was no wifi, so only one laptop could use the internet wire at a time. One shocking point was the price of the dinner on the top floor. We just wanted a small Japanese dinner for two, but the Japanese restaurant only had a crazy $300 two-person dinner option. It would have been awesome, I'm sure, but we decided to wander to the markets and find dinner instead.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a nice walking loop: cross the river at the hotel, and cross back at the Atomic Dome.

Location was excellent for the Peace Park.
Staff were great, room was comfortable.
Excellent value for money. The hotel was in a great location. We easily caught the #1 tram from the train station. We had a view over the river, peace park and towards the A-Dome. We booked the twin room which gave us a bit extra room for the same price. We found the room facilities comfortable and we had a great nights' sleep.
The staff were really helpful and even let us check in early. They directed us to a fantastic local restaurant when asked.
The only slight issue we had was that the room had a slight ciggarette smoke smell. This was not enough for us to want to be anywhere else. We even wished that we'd booked for 2 nights instead of just the one.
Travel tip : There is a great local place that serves okonomiyaki Hiroshima style. It's located about one block behind the hotel. Ask reception for directions.
Book a twin over a semi-double.
Visiting the Peace Museum is a must.

Sunroute Hiroshima is located close to the streetcar and across the bridge from Peace Park - perfect for our needs. The room was small as were all of the hotel rooms that we stayed in in Japan but certainly adequate. We didn't make use of the restaurant facilities. Would stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You won't find a better location in Hiroshima for visiting the Peace Park.

This hotel is very close to the Peace Park. The hotel itself was extremely clean with all the staff most friendly. The room was very clean with all the extras we expected. It was a small room but we expected that. However it would be nice to have somewhere to put your luggage The staff were most helpful.

The view of the Peace park and the A-bomb Dome is a plus from this hotel, so long as you have rooms facing the sights. The buffet breakfast spread was quite limited. For the price you pay, you would probably get more value for money elsewhere, although the view offered is probably second to none as there are no other hotels directly facing the memorial. Sunroute is probably good for the short-term visitor to Hiroshima if you only have a night or two in the city. You are right next to the HIroshima peace park and memorial, which makes visiting the sights very convenient. There are no convenience stores in its immediate neighbourhood, but there are a number of eateries. If you walk two blocks away either across the street or further towards the city centre area, you will get the cafes and stores. The hotel is about 10 minutes away from Hondori - main street with many shops, food and fashion.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you don't have a room that faces the memorial and the A-bomb dome, then it is worth paying for the buffet breakfast as you get a nice view.

The room was a little cramped Hotel Sunroute is very well located across from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. The view from our room above the river and with the A-dome in the background was spectacular. The staff spoke little English and was not very helpful. The room was quite small as business hotels often are, but clean and adequate. It was internet connection in the room.

Staff polite but limited grasp of English This was a very good hotel if you want to visit the Peace park and the A-bomb monument. The staff was polite but did not understand much English. The room was small, but clean with internet connection in the room and great view over the city. We used the tram system to get around in the city. A stop was located a short walk from the hotel.

Lobby area is dated Sunroute Hiroshima is fine if you are doing a quick sightseeing tour of Hiroshima. Located right next to Peace Park, it provides easy access to the Memorial Museum and A-Bomb Dome and is only a few minutes walk to the boat for Miyajima. The rooms, while old and a bit dated, are very spacious and the toiletaries provided are generous. Its not a luxury property, but clean and comfortable for a good price.

Location, value for money The location of Sunroute Hiroshima is just by the river next to Peace Memorial Park. From Hiroshima JR Station you can take street car no 1 to reach quite easily. Besides the location, the rooms are quite comfortable but a bit old looking. Still you have evrything you need. You can go to A-bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Park and Museum by walking. Also the shopping area of Hiroshima is within walking distance. The hotel staff are helpful and the rooms are clean. Our room was looking at the river and we enjoyed the view during our stay. This hotel is really good value for money. I am sure with a little bit of renovation, it can become a first choice in the area.
