Great location right across the street from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Within walking distance of major shopping area and restaurants. Great view overlooking the river and Peace Park from the window. Small room. there are no dressers to unpack clothing. The closet has 4 hangers and when I asked if I could get more I was told that I couldn't. The front desk staff was especially helpful and gracious giving advice about getting around and finding places from the hotel. Great location right across the street from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Within walking distance of major shopping area and restaurants. Great view overlooking the river and Peace Park from the window. The room could be larger. The only bad point was that there are no dressers to unpack clothing. The closet has 4 hangers and when I asked if I could get more I was told that I couldn't. (Maybe they just didn't understand what I was asking.)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Right across the street from the Hiroshima Peace Park. A lovely walk along the river to the major shopping area and restaurants.

Convenient location, helpful staff. Only one expensive option for breakfast. The Hotel Sunroute Hiroshima is conveniently located to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum. About 5 minutes walk to the Museum, it was an excellent base for to do research and study at the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. Handy location to restaurants and shops also.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Handy location for vising the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum.

The room was very spacious for a Japanese hotel room. Not to mention that it is right across the street from the peace park and A-Dome. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends an family. Great staff and accommodations and brilliant location. You cant beat it for the price. Don't forget to ring the peace bell!

Great views over the river, close to attractions, easy to find, clean Not many restaurants or shopping nearby. Also the air conditioning in the room was really bad so it was hard to sleep. The hotel was in a great position close to all the tourist places. Our room had a beautiful view over the river. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The only trouble we had was that it was hard to find a nice restaurant to have dinner. Other than that the room was very clean and well presented. The only problem was that the air conditioning in the room didn't work properly and made it very stuffy and hot.

Internet Access requires special proxy configuration It was good experience in Hiroshima in General and is quiet an enjoybale City, it has a mixture that allows tourist to feel not isolated unlike Kyoto, it has more food varaities too and better night life
Nightlife Tip : 15min walk ffrom the center of night life

we got a smoking room, although we don't smoke. The bed, pillows were all stinky. The room was not clean. The windows were probably not opened for weeks. I would never stay in that hotel again. But of course I do not know if it is like this in non-smoking rooms as well.

The room I stayed was so clean and roomy and the window was facing the peace park. The view was so beautiful and perfect that it looked like a postcard! The staff was very polite. The location was very convenient that I was able to go to downtown on foot. I hope the coffee lounge on the first floor open a bit early. The price is reasonable and the location is very convenient (It is almost in front of the peace memorial park). The room was clean and and roomy. I had the room with the perfect view of the peace park. It was amazing! The staff was polite and helpful. There were two shops like Seven-Eleven kind of shops near the hotel. About 10 min walk from hotel to restaurants and shops.
Restaurant Tip : Walk to downtown for breakfast early in the morning. It's called "Morning set" and being served 7 - 11am. It usually costs $5~8 for coffee, an egg, mini salad, a sausage and toast. There are usually either pictures of food they serve so you can see what's available.

The hotel has a great location, right on the river next to the Peace Memorial Park. It is within easy walking distance to the Park and Hiroshima Castle. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have laundry facilities available at the property. Another great feature would be to include a breakfast with the room. We enjoyed the hotel. The room was a bit small, which is typical for Japanese hotels, but the location was wonderful. We had a great room overlooking the river and the Peace Memorial Park. The staff was friendy, professional, and helpful. The hotel was a bit far from the train station, so we couldn't walk to it, but it was a short taxi ride over (less than 10 minutes). We would recommend this hotel to others and stay there again when we visit Hiroshima.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Peace Memorial Park is located right across the river, about a 3-5 minute walk away.

the position of the hotel is very good regarding the principal tourist interesting points
the hotel is in downtown so th tourist can find all things of interest
the room is big regarding other in similar hotels in japan
the team is very helpfull the bath room is small, but is a standard size that's caracteristic probably in all japan.
the price a little bit high the hotel is near the tram station very well signed with latin caracters so was very easy for us to find the way to it by using from the first time public transport.
we made about 10 minutes with the tram to the central station so we used it 4 days for looking other places around hiroshima
the room was very clean and relatively bigger than similar hotels, including the bed, for a couple
the speaks english and help with any questions
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the reason to share the horrors of nuclear veapons is near the hotel

location, room size, recommendations for restaurants in the vicinity the hotel is located a taxi ride away from the JR station. Although buses run to the vicinity of the hotel, they're not convenient to use with luggage. The hotel is located across the river, within walking distance of Peace Park. The setting is lovely and very convenient for visiting the Peace Park. Our room was large (!) with a loveseat and chairs, so we could really relax. All the Sunroute hotels we stayed at had nice new comfortable bedding. The hotel has an interactive 'computer' that provides information about recommended restaurants in the vicinity. We used it, chose a restaurant (Creative Sushi) and were very pleased with dinner. That was a very convenient feature.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There's a local site seeing bus, buy a pass. It includes a local train and ferry ride to Miyajima. We used these features to go to Miyajima (ride the ropeway to the 'top' for the view)but rode the JR ferry and JR train back, because they were faster.

Near sightseeing places. Staff is nice and professional. The room is clean. Yukata. I expected nice Yukata, but the hotel did not provide. But it is not a big issue. We had one night at the hotel. We stayed in Double room. The room is large comparing to Japanese Double room standard. It has sofa. It is close to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. I got special promotion price from Agoda. I don't know about food because it was not in my plan.

great location - on the river, close to all Peace Park amenities. Big double bed! great bar and fabulous bar service. window difficult to open. air conditioning unsatisfactory. Sunroute hotel is located on the riverside very close to all tourist attractions. 10 minute walk to the Peace Park area and to Hondori street. The room was a good size and the bed a large double standard - which in Japan was a great asset. There was a cosy bar, with an extensive choice of cocktails and bar snacks. The service throughtout the hotel was excellent. We only booked for one night, unfortunately it was fully booked the next night. We would definately stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : tourist attractions and shopping all within easy walking distance (10 mins to Peace Park and Hondori Street)

Upon arrival I took a cab from Hiroshima JR station to the hotel and it cost us Y1200. There is also a starbucks near by for some morning perk-up coffee.
Staff were helpful in directing us, so was the taxi driver who voluntarily gave us a map of Hiroshima. Bless

Good location. Close to Peace Memorial and Atomic dome. When you first walk in to lobby, it smells like smoke. The building is very old and carpet is dirty in the elevator. The bathroom is like portable, the bathtub made out of plastic and smells like mildew. The heat was turned off for the entire building when it was 40F at night. The staff at front desk does not speak English. I could not get help with directions. They just give you flyer to figure it out yourself. I do not recommend this hotel.

Location, big room for the price. Smelt smokey everywhere, possibly coming throught the ventilation system, aeroplane style bathroom! The location if this hotel is great - it overlooks the Peace Park so you can easily walk there and in the surrounding area, as well as up the banks of the river which are lovely for picnics when we were there (in the spring during cherry blossom the river is lined with cherry trees). It's also easy to walk to loads of restaurantas and bars and the main shopping area. Our double room was realy big, with a couch/seating area and a desk. The bathroom was the usual for this price - short japanese style bath and pretty small but perfectly adequate. A bit aeroplane-stlye.
We were given a smoking room first of all (possibly my mistake during booking) but the receptionist happily swapped it when we realized. We were moved to a non-smoking floor one floor up but the problem was it smelt really smokey, both in the hallways and in the room. Im not sure if it was other people smoking on the same floor or bad air circulation but it was quite noticeable at times and having the window open all the time wan't quite enough to clear it. If we went again we'd probably try moving further from the smoking floors which might help (we didnt ask to move as i didnt realise till later at night and i wasnt sure if it was too late).
Nightlife Tip : Kembys bar is quite close and has a happy hour (6-7 possibly) where the beer is very cheap!
