The location of this hotel is great and we were pleased for our overnight stay. The check in was very efficient and the staff were courteous. Our room was small but comfortable. It had all the amenities that one needs including a hair dryer. The shower was great and there was lot of hot water immediately.

There was only one pillow per person and they were not that comfortable.

Overall, I would say that our staywas very pleasant and that we would recommend this hotel to our friends and plan to return there on our next visit to Hiroshima. If you have a lot of baggage, the room will be cramped, but you can get around it I'm sure. It is modern, and the rooms are very clean and efficient. I think that for your money, this hotel is a very good value.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The peace park is a short walk from the hotel as well as the main shopping street.

Nice hotel with good facilities and comfortable lounge area. Good views over city from upper story rooms. Free internet is a bonus as well. Close to shopping and restaurant districts. Short taxi ride (1000 yen) from rail station. Within walking distance of main tourist attraction (Peace Park and A Dome) Would recommend hotel to others and would recommend a visit to Hiroshima to everyone.

Free internet in lobby. Laundromat around corner. Clean rooms.

A bit far from Peace Park, but walkable.

Oriental Plaza Hotel was a nice, well appointed hotel. It is a bit far from the streetcar stop - it would have been easier to take a taxi from the train station. We ended up taking a taxi to Peace Park as well, as it was a good distance away. There is a laundromat located right next door -very convenient. Near Chuo Dori and many shops and restaurants. Free internet in lobby.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Peace Memorial Park is about 10-15 minutes walk away, straight down Heiwa Dori.

Perfectly situated in the centre of town; internet connection for free; clean and well organised.

Typical japanese size; no breakfast availabble.

The hotel was very easy to find and well situated. However; one has to get used to a Japanese room size. If you choose a semi-double room; do expect to sleep closely to each other if sharing the bed. It was not easy to find a breakfast around the hotel; not to say impossible. If you have to stay for business; this hotel is very convenient. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull. Furthermore it is very well in the centre; zhich means that you can walk most of the important tourist sites and do not have to take any public transport. Restaurants can be easily found for lunch and dinner close to it. The lounge of the hotel offers also nice specials for happy hours.

Right next to a lot of hostess bars if you're into that kind of thing, personally I find them to be a very big waste of money. There are a lot of regular bars around and little restaurants. walking distance to shopping. About a 15-20 minute walk to peace park and A-dome.

Food and drinks expensive at hotel and at major tourist attractions.

Would recommend this hotel.

Travel tip : Avoid eating around or near tourist attractions too expensive. Get a taxi from train cost around 1000-1200 yen

Nice lobby and very convenient location, just a minute away from centre of town.

Small rooms

the staff were friendly and spoke good english, and they were able to provide information about the surrounding area with a detailed map. in terms of accomodation comfort, the room had an excellent view of hiroshima and was clean. it was however quite small and the bathroom was in need of some newer amenities. overall, good stay and value for money.

Nightlife Tip : Try to go out on a Saturday night as it is very quiet other nights and most things close by about 10pm.

Everything was great.

The rooms were very nice and clean. The service was great and the amenities were very nice, updated room and very modern. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hiroshima. modern design, clean, cosy, very efficient staff, in the middle of the city,

nothing bad about this place at all!

when i first walk into this hotel after visting many others in Japan. I have to say this one is really value for the money. It's a 3 star hotel but i feel it is absolutely under-rated. It is different from all other small hotel and you just feel very comfortable when you walk into your room. highly recommended.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the hotel is located not too far from the Peace Park, which is the main attraction in Hiroshima. talk a good 10 minutes walk from the hotel and you'll see it.

Excellent standard, beautiful interior, very plush. Very good location.

The area behind the hotel (hostess clubs, love bars) may be considered innaproprate by some, but it did not bother us at all.

Fantastic value for money. We felt so pampered at the hotel; we were not expecting it to be so plush. The semi-double room was of excellent standard (with pyjamas, TV, spa cosmetics etc.). The interior of the hotel is beautiful - there were some photo-shoots taking place when we were there. Excellent location, next to Chuo Dori with many shops, cafes and restaurants. Tram stops very near, but you can also walk to the Dome (around 25-30 mins).

Shopping Tip : Hon Dori Arcade has excellent value shopping. The area around Fukuo Machi station is very hip and good for dining and drinking.

Very modern, tidy, sleek, services available

Size of the restaurant meals

Our first impression when we saw the hotel is wow. It is fairly new, has a posh looking foyer and lounge area in front of the reception desk where you can get drinks service and free internet. They had a nice library of books in the lounge area, which we happily browsed through while we waited. When we arrived (approx 12.15pm)we were told check in wasnt until 1pm (i must have missed this bit of information when booking)so we thought we might just wait around in the foyer for the next 45mins as our feet were pretty tired too. They gladly took our bags into storage while we waited. Typical of us, we didnt have a watch so didnt keep track of time, expecting that one of the 4 staff that were at the front desk would come get us when it was 1pm and they probably would have if we asked them, however it was approx 1.35pm when we finally went to check if we could check in. Our room was a semi double and my husband (relatively tall)& i fit quite comfortably in the room with our two bags. Rooms were tidy & clean. The hotel had 3 restaurants, so we thought we would treat ourselves to a night of dining at the restaurant that was not the french or japanese one. The meal was what you would expect if you went to a posh restaurant with a world reknown chef, it tasted beautifully delicious, was presented well. We paid top dollar for our meal but were rather disappointed in the size of the meal and after a day of exploring the city, we were pretty hungry. My husband ordered the steak meal (being a kiwi you expect a steak to come in steak size) however it was the smallest steak (smaller than the palm of your hand, in fact the whole dish could have fit into a mans palm) acompanied by a couple of other things on the plate. My meal i ordered was the fish with vegetables, again it was this tiny meal on a big plate and there was not one vege on the plate? It contained a tiny piece of salmon, 4 shrimps or prawns & a small squid. Although they were small meals - they taseted beautiful, but w

Hotel Feature Tip : The library in the foyer lounge area has some really interesting books.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, modern lobby, great view

The carpet in the rooms and hallway are a bit old.

I was a little sceptical about the hotel and the great price we got on the room. These worries we not warranted. The hotel was nice, has a good location for shopping and eating and is about a 20 minute walk to peace park - which is why you go to Hiroshima in the first place. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not it. If you are looking for a clean, friendly affordable place to stay, look no further.

located near most of the attractions

The sign of the hotel does not stand out that much so it might be a little hard for you to notice.

The hotel is loacted in the heart of Hiroshima city. It is not difficult to find once you get off the street car traveling from Hiroshima JR station. It has a good service and friendly staffs who can speak English. The room is clean and definitely worth the money you've spent.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the hotel is located close the shopping area.
