This hotel is clean and professional. I would highly recommend getting the view of Sakurajima, which you can see from your room while you sip a cup of tea.
I would highly recommend the breakfast buffet, which is cheaper if you get tickets in advance. A good selection of both Japanese and Western foods with good service too.
There is a good cluster of restaurants across the road from the hotel along with a convenience store.
The only bummer is that the hotel is a wee bit away from the main areas in Kagoshima but there is a bus stop just outside. Make sure you get bus information from the tourist desk at Kagoshima Chuo station. They're really helpful, and if you catch a taxi to the hotel, ensure the driver knows it's tokyu hotel not tokyu inn.
Restaurant Tip : Good cluster of restaurants across the road.

The room was larger than any we stayed in Japan and the view was fantastic. Breakfast very good. We had a great stay in Kagoshima and the hotel was part of that. Great views of the bay and Sakurajima volcano. Good size room and very clean. The staff were very helpful and even helped us out in the Japanese restaurant when ordering. Public transport was close by and convenient. Breakfast was very nice and well priced. Catered for both local and western tastes which was good. We would recommend this hotel (especially for the view) and stay again if in Kagoshima

Location-impressive lobby-adjacent parking available-very nice buffet breakfast-helpful friendly staff-nice rooms and views. Access to pool seemed a little confusing and also the pool looked a little uninspiring. Following an earth tremor a message relating I think to the richter measure was displayed on the tv screen in Japanese, it would be good if this information was also displayed in english. Our stay in Kagoshima was very pleasant and the hotel was very comfortable and a good location as a base to explore the city. A bus service to the City is available outside the front of the hotel and friendly staff were able to provide advice on bus timetables etc.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is fairly easy to locate when arriving by car.

This hotel locates on good area. I could face to Sakurajima volcano when I stand on my room. this is the second time I stay in this hotel. I stay in this hotel three days and two nights in this time. This hotel locates on good area. I could face to Sakurajima volcano when I stand on my room. The room is clean and big enough the price they charge. I like this hotel and will stay in this hotel in the next time I go to Kagoshima.
