Excellent service, very clean and large rooms

Had to hand key in when I left, they locked doors at 2am

I booked the Holiday Inn Express in a hurry through Agoda so wasnt to sure what I was getting. It turned out the Hotel was excellent. Very big room and excellent service from the staff. The only downside was they insisted I hand my room key in when i left. They also locked the door at 2am and if you got in later you woudl have to call security. I did not have to do this but I just never like having to give a key in and relying on security to let me in, it always feels to controlled. Considering this is the only downside (which many other hoteks do as well) I was very impressed with the Holiday Inn Express.

Location is close to station, included breakfast

Very small room

The hotel is very close to the station, walking distance and you pass a big supermarket. Our room was very small, but for one night that was OK. Breakfast was nice, with coffee and breadrolls. Kobe is not that interesting so 1 night is enough

Restaurant Tip : In the big shoppingmall there is an excellent Korean diner with nice affordable food.

Spacious Rooms, wireless internet, and a 5 min. walk from Shin-kobe station.

The hotel was down a side street, hard to notice if you did not know where to look. Also the hotel staff were not very fluent in English.

The continental breakfast that they served for free, as well as a regular breakfast(which cost money), were very good offering a decent amount of choices. The area around the hotel is very quiet and it is easy to get a restful night sleep. The room I stayed in was a double, and the great thing about it was that it had 2 double beds, instead of the single beds that one becomes accustomed to while travelling in Japan. The hotel also offers a restaurant, which I was quiet impressed with. The quality was great. All in all it was more than I would have expected from a Holiday-inn Express.
