Good access from the railway station.
Good access to the town centre.
Laundry room.
Basic.
Laundry 8pm kurfew.
Continental breakfast very basic.
The hotel was easy to get to on the tram from the main JR railway station. Its located close to the town centre and Kumamotos main tourist attraction, the castle.
It sems a bit dated or basic at least, but I guess you get what you pay for so its not bad value for money.
The hotel has a laundry room which is convenient for JR pass travellers, thought this cannot be used after 8pm in the evening, probably the time when many people might want to be using it.
Shopping Tip : There is a large post office just over the nearby brige over the river which has an international ATM.

Good location, just under a five minute walk from the area where Lantern Festival is held, and a ten minute walk to Kumamoto Castle.
Rooms a little small, but not unlike many other hotels in Japan.
This was a great little hotel. Clean, comfortable. The furniture could use a little updating, but the room was clean and perfectly livable. I had a single room, which was small, but not unlike many other hotels in Japan. Great place for the money. Breakfast was also good.
The staff was extremely courteous and friendly and spoke English. There is a laundry room in the hotel where you can do your own laundry.

1. Need to catch the tram or bus to get in hotel about 15-20 mins.
2. Hard to find restaurants around the hotel
This hotel is good anyone who wants to walk through the Kumamoto castle and will be the transit place for visiting ASO vocalno.
Anyway, I think there are a little difficulty to go to the hotel from JR Kumamoto station. You needs to take Tram or bus to get in there. The day that I went to visit Nagasaki and came late around 23.10. I'm not able to find the bus or Tram to go to Hotel. So finally, I got to use Taxi. One more thing, You need to eat before arriving the hotel because it is a little difficulty to find the reatuarant or even Mc Donald or 7 eleven around Hotel.
