Solo travelers Singapore, May 03, 2013	Comfortable, central, convenient Location, price, wifi 6.7 It's just about a 5 to 7 minute walk from Kyoto Station which is the transportation hub of the city. The hotel is relatively new and was build to cater to a large number of people. It's also very busy.There was constant movement outside my door and I could hear children shouting. The room was very small. I couldn't open the toilet door fully when I had my luggage opened. The walls are also very thin. I could hear someone in the next room sneeze or cough as if he or she were right beside me. The room was smaller than those in Tokyo that was similar in distance to a main statin station which surprised me. The front desk staff speak little english and can hardly understand any. It would be best if you were to go to the tourist information centre at Kyoto Station instead. The check-in time is also very strict - 3pm. I reached at about 10am and left my luggage at the reception. However, when I got back at 5pm, my luggage had not been delivered to my room which is the usual practice of hotels.
