Staff was friendly and polite and the hotel was clean and very close to the train station. Maybe a two minute walk.
Restaurant Tip : The train station is full of restaurants on the 11th floor so you just have to walk down the alley and you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner.

On the way back to the hotel from Kyoto Station (actually along side the station) at night, we could not resist popping in the Kaiten-Sushi restaurant. It was cozy and friendly.
