Overall, a decent place to stay while in Kyoto- it was fine for the price we paid. The restaurants connected to the hotel were pretty good and reasonably priced.
- Restaurant Tip : There are 2 restaurants- one is Japanese and the other Italian. We had a really nice beer and pizza at the Japanese izakaya (downstairs in the basement).

This hotel was pleasant and centrally located to Gion (Geisha district) and Nijo Castle. It was old, but clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. (Not much English)
