My daughter and I fell in love with this place since we slept on tatami mats and was served traditional Japanese breakfast throughout our stay. The hotel is within walking distance from the Kyoto Station. There are several 24-hour shop to get emergency supplies and there are numerous restaurants availabel either on the street or underground at Porta. The room itself is large enough and our beddings are laid out for us every evening and cleared every morning. Although the staff speak very little English, they managed to understand us. There are several restaurants in the hotel and there is a public bath for the brave ones. This is a hotel that will stay in my mind for the experiences it brought me.

Hotel tipo Ryokan algo anticuado

Estuvimos solamente dos noches para probar la experiencia de una habitación típica japonesa. Este hotel, aunque normal por fuera, es de tipo Ryokan con todas sus habitaciones con tatami. La idea no está mal, pero quizás le falta una buena renovación,ya que la pintura de las paredes no estaba en buen estado y se notaba algo añejo y falto de buena iluminación.
La habitación que nos tocó era una de las más grandes, y aun así era muy agobiante, sobre todo el minúsculo baño prefabricado de estilo de los años sesenta. Los futones eran muy delgados y tuvimos que apilar varios juntos para poder dormir, y las almohadas eran pequeñas y duras.
No probamos el onsen. Incluye desayuno tradicional, no es especialmente bueno pero vale la pena probarlo. El personal es m uy amable y atento, aunque no hablan bien inglés. En resumen, este hotel será mejor apreciado por gente de Japón que por extranjeros.
Shopping Tip:
Junto a la estación de tren de Kyoto, con multitud de tiendas y restaurantes para hacer compras y cenar.

喜欢他们的早餐，纯日式的，在日本的几天都没有机会吃到。榻榻米的经历也很特别，晚上服务生会来帮铺床。公共浴池也很有特色，我和妈妈泡澡泡的都很开心。可惜房间稍显陈旧，外观也可以装修一下。
