along way from most of the sights in Kyoto, not close to subway We were disappointed with this hotel. It was much further out of town than we had imagined, it certainly isn't in Gion as described. Getting around meant catching a bus which got very crowded at times.The staff spoke a little English . The room was a good size and the bathroom was adequate but everything looked a little tired. We would not choose to stay here again.
Hotel Feature Tip : there is a free shuttle bus to and from Kyoto station . However the frequency is not that great .The timetable is on the back of your check-in card.

Large rooms, friendly service, shuttle bus to JR Kyoto Station. Rooms and decor quite old, not the greatest location. The hotel is located inside and adjacent to a large shopping centre, which some might find a plus. the stay was generally amiable, but the hotel was quite dated. Staff were very nice though. Close to the Imperial Palace, quite far from the rest of the temples. need to hire a bike!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to a nearby station further down the river and hire bikes for the day. A fun and easy way to see all the sights, and they cost only 500 yen per day (the hotel charges you 1,800 yen per bike!)

Nice and clean facility w/ good adjacent retail and restaurants. Courtesy bus to JR Station. Quite far from center of business and visitor attractions. Good hotel value and adjacent to retail and restaurants but quite far from main business and visitor attractions.
Shopping Tip : Department store and food court near by and convenient.

Big room, attentive friendly and helpful service at the reception, great breakfast and timely bus pick-up to/from Kyoto Station. Far from touristy spots and bus journey can take up to 30 minutes each way. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the spacious (for Japanese hotels) room. The English speaking reception desk was very friendly, attentive and helpful. We liked the Japanese buffet breakfast and quiet location and although it was a bit far from all the touristy spots, the regular timely bus service to Kyoto station made up for that.

The service facilities & room all qualify as great. Location takes a little time to get used to but the 206 bus makes it convenient none-the less. The staff were friendly & helpful from the moment we arrived & they were more than happy to answer questions & customize our experience.
The hotel facilities were clean useful & modern & there were laundry rooms, internet computer & a separate space provided for guests. The hotel shuttle service was a great convenience when leaving but could be more widely advertised so that it could be accessed on arrival in Kyoto.
The price was reasonable & all inclusive. Great place & we would like to return.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close & easy to use the 206 bus to get to several temples & sights in Kyoto & this is a set fare bus of only 220 yen with an English speaking announcement so that made it stress free & convenient.

There is a shuttlebus from the train station to the hotel, which is free. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel had a variety of shops and restaurants to choose from. Unlike most hotels in Japan the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the station by shuttle bus, and it is not close to any subway stations.
There was no pool or workout facility at the hotel, which was probably the reason I was disappointed the most. The hotel staff was very friendly, although the ones that I dealt with all had trouble communicating in english. The most helpful staff members were the shuttlebus drivers. They would drop you off along their route tring to get you as close to your destination as possible, and then give you directions and maps on how to get the rest of the way.
The reason I was so disappointed with the hotel not having a pool or a gym is that when I was reading the write-up on this hotel it was stated that the hotel had both of these facilities.
But all in all it was the same quality you would expect from this hotel chain.

narrow space of room amd bath room Staff are very kind and supported every requests for our inquiries with map and necessary information immediately after our asking with smile which made us very confortable.
On the other hand the room space is too narrow for specially foreigner with long legs and tall body.
To attract more foreigners, it should be considered.
The location and the facilities are good.

Very quiet location, convenient, close to bus stops and convenience stores Really nice hotel, awesome bed! TLocated close to major attarctions and bust stations. VEry friendly and helpful staff who can speak english.
Nightlife Tip : The place is near Gion, and if you're lucky, enter the small side streets and see geishas and maikos.
