Good service, very helpful of staff.
The photo of standard room in hotel's website is much nicer than the real room when I got there. Very disappointed. The room that I got has old decoration.
- Travel tip : I am not satisfied with the room because I stayed in the room that total different from what is in the Hotel's website. I selected this hotel because of the photos of room in hotel website. But overall, I am satisfied with the staff, they are nice and have a service - mind.

The boys and girls working at the reception desk were very helpful.
The hotel has a wonderful location in downtown Kyoto.
I liked everything at the hotel.

Once we found the hotel all was good. Friendly efficient staff at the front desk, clean and tidy rooms (albeit on the tiny side) and a handy location made it an easy stay. It's a short walk from the hotel to the shopping district and the main bus stops (a must to get around as the subway didn't seem to go anywhere near the places we wanted to visit).
I do recommend the inhouse Japanese restaurant in the basement, it was the best meal we had in Japan (real Japanese - not just sushi).
Location - halfway between Nijo Castle on the one hand and the shopping district on the other.
Great Japanese restaurant downstairs. Staff helpful with adequate english.
As with all Japanese hotels ... roomsize ! Two people and their luggage and there is no room move. A bit hard to find on foot from the station, the directions (just around the corner from the museum) weren't helpful.
- Restaurant Tip : The hidden restaurant in the basement is excellent. High quality service, tasty and unusual food (try the soyabean paste steamed pork), or the duck ... and no too pricey (except maybe the sake).
