Excellent location above Kyoto Station
Great location and nice rooms

Great location above Kyoto Station. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the station building and it's so easy to access the train system from here. The only downside was that our non-smoking room did smell a little smoky but this seems to happen a lot in Japan. Great customer service, with the concierge so happy to help with restaurants/tour bookings. Highly recommend this for the location.

We stayed here for 4 nights and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Kyoto. It is located just above the busy Kyoto JR station which is a tourist attraction on its own. The hotel is also next to the bus stop and metro station. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping around. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful, providing good information to tourists like us. Our Queen room was spacious with nice view of the city. Bathroom was very big and clean.

Relaxing place in a central location

i arrived late, the staff were cheery. the porter brought my bags, and then once in the room he ordered room service for me because my japanese is not that good. the dinner came to my room shortly afterward and it was fantastic. the beds were soft, the internet fast, the rooms spacious. there was nothing i was not happy with about my stay.

A brilliant hotel located ideally above Kyoto station - great if you have been using a JR pass to travel around. Can't fault the hotel for comfort, cleanliness and service. Fantastic city views from the higher floors, huge shopping centre directly under the station, loads to see and do in Kyoto. Highly recommended

Great location, big room, attentive service
At the train station for connecting to subway, bullet train, buses. Quiet location with all the amenities.

maybe i'm sensitive (and it could have been the sakura), but the ninth floor was smokey in the hallways and i was sneezing and stuffed up throughout my stay at the granvia. it mostly affected my friends ability to sleep.
i ordered japanese breakfast on the day i left. they said forty minutes. it came in 20 and was excellent. great job with room service.
the room was monstrous. especially compared to my room earlier in the week in ginza. king sized bed area bigger on its own than the room i'm sitting in right now. then add a sitting area with the tv and desk, spacious closet, and built in spot for my roller luggage. bathroom was a good size with a full sized bathtub with shower.
