Advantage of this hotel just Japanese Style and have a hotspring room.
Disadvantage of this hotel is far from station, rest room very small.
I think the location point of this hotel is good for sight seeing in Kyoto, it stay on center then you can use train to go anywhere around Kyoto area. But hotel are very expensive than other, but class of hotel look just 2 star only .
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Kyoto is the old capital, that mean they are many place very interested for sight seeing, transportation very convenience to go , easy to find....

Close to downtown Kyoto, great value for money, well equipped rooms, great style rooms.
Omiya subway station is a little tricky to get to.
We stayed at Hotel Village Kyoto for 5 nights in their smallest room. That being said, we had more than enough room and the beds were super comfy. The room itself was really cute. We never ate the breakfast, it wasn't overly impressive.
The bathroom was nice and the public bath was really relaxing (apart from the public nudity, I didn't dig it).
The best way to get to the Hotel is to make your way to Omiya subway station from Kyoto, then when you get to street level walk towards the 7/11, continue past the 7/11 on the main street and you'll find the hotel on your right directly opposite the Family Mart.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Head down to Pontocho for a feed and some sightseeing. Nearly at the end of Pontocho turn right and look for a Yakitori restaurant called Issian. The food was great and the chef, Ken, was a really great guy. Also, my wife loved a department store on Shijo-Dori called Opa for shopping.

Perfect blend of contemporary western and Japanese style. Bath facility. Close to subway station.Clean and very new.
Non, except make sure you have a map of the place when you jump into a taxi from Kyoto station as the hotel is new and most taxi drivers do not know it.
Perfect blend of contemporary western and Japanese style boutique with spacious rooms as the futon style beds can be folded away. The public bath (although not hot spring water)on the ground floor is a real treat after long walkabouts in Kyoto.
The staff were attentive and friendly especially when my wife required minor medical treatment which they were very helpful with.
We had the room which sleeps five people and as we are a family of four (2 adults and 2 toddlers), the room was perfect.
