First night, i have no air conditioning as the system did not work. They claimed that it was working in heater mode, so that's why it was not blowing out any air. They told me to open window and open door so that the room is not stuffy. How on earth that you book a hotel but you sleep with open window and open door? I did open the window the first night though The second night and the rest of the night, the air conditioning system only blew out air, not cool air. So it worked only as a fan. I don’t recommend people staying here after so many reviews of bad air conditioning system I might as well book a motel rather than paying hotel price but getting open air and a fan

While the room was not large, it was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The bathroom amenities were of high quality too. The Japanese buffet breakfast was terrific, and very good value for money at only 1,200 yen. And the hotel is right behind the Kyoto Station so we just walked after we arrived via the Haruka airport express. The Kyoto Station area is a very good starting point for trains and buses to see the rest of Kyoto and on its own, the station is a destination unto itself! I would stay at the Hotel Vista again and recommend it for couples, friends traveling together, solo travelers. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and polite.
