Nice little hotel in a nice little town

Nice experience. Uji is not in Kyoto, so anyone booking this hotel should note that Kyoto is a 20 to 30 minute train ride away. Uji has its own attractions and that made the stay completely worth it. We slept in fluffy Japanese futons, lounged around in Japanese home clothes and enjoyed the peaceful river view. One tip, don't open the window, there are swarms of insects outside! Do not try to have dinner after 8:30 or you will end up hungry the whole night, as even the nearest seven eleven is at the station, which is a 15 minute walk away.

Pros:
- Very good view and surrounding area
- Staffs are very friendly and helpful
- Fast Wifi (only available on the lobby)
Cons:
- It is expensive
- The room is not that big (we are a group of 5 people and the room is too cramped)
- The toilet is smelly
