Great location & very clean
bathroom mirror, comfy beds, helpful staff
9.3
great room and could not ask for more as it was centrally located near sanjo station & another subway station. the bed was very comfortable which was a plus as we did a lot of walking to see kyoto's attractions. the bathroom mirror was also amazing as it does not get blocked by the mist after a hot shower!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
bus stop nearby was convenient to get around the city and Pontocho is literally a few steps away for great dining

fabulous hotel, great location
new & in a great position
9.3
The kids couldn't believe we were staying in such an attractive hotel. It was great value. I can't rate the food/dining because we didn't use it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get a bus route map from the hotel staff - they offered one to me & it was very useful for sightseeing. I think it is easier to get to the hotel from Kyoto station by bus, take #4, 17 or 205 & get off at Kawaramachi Sanjo. Get on the bus at the back & pay on the way off at the front.

Great Location Excellent Room

The best hotel we ever stayed in Japan. We got a great price from Agoda also got upgraded. The location is fantastic, very close to shopping malls and sightseeing. The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable with all modern facilities. Great restaurants around the hotel. Will definitely return to this hotel for longer visit on our next trip to Kyoto.

The price is reasonable and we get a pleasant stay among us.
The bread and coffee shop nearby, provide good breakfast and esspecially the sandwich ,it's fresh and taste real good.

Great location and awesome rooms!
Small but comfortable and everything we needed
9.7
This hotel is in a great location within minutes of pontocho. A bus stop is around the corner and subway is one block away. Entrance to hotel is impressive and posh, as with the rest of the hotel. Everything was very clean and service was exceptional. It rained unexpectedly the 2nd day we were there, and they provided umbrellas. Did not have the breakfast buffet (expensive for us) but there's plenty of eateries nearby... including the Nishiki market which is about 10 minutes on foot.
Also, we loved the bathroom!! Small but efficient and amenities were well thought out.
The only thing I wish they provided were free water, but no big deal.. They provided free tea and coffee and a water boiler in the room.
Highly recommended and if we ever go back to Kyoto, I would stay here again!

Very clean rooms. Smaller than some but value for money. Located very close to bus stops and rail. 15 min walk to Imperial Palace.
Restaurant Tip:
Great little restaurants close by near the canal. Omen noodle Udon restaurant was a good choice.
