A relatively new hotel with Great Location
Very reasonable price with Great Value for Money
9.7
Hotel is relatively new and is located very conveniently, about 7 minutes walk to the nearest subway station. There are great amenities around the hotel with very good restaurants and shops. A good recommendation is the Bakery shop just beside the hotel that offers fantastic breakfast at reasonable price. Rooms are good size although small by standards in countries like Singapore. Hotel provides all basic supplies like pyjamas, toothbrushes/paste, slippers etc etc.
One thing we enjoyed most is the heated toilet bowls that made one feel very comfortable in the cold weather. We found out that this is not a standard feature in all hotels in Japan, so we really appreciate it. Hotel staff can speak good English and is very friendly and helpful. Hotel even accommodated our request to store 3 pcs of luggages when we travel to Nara for 2 days.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nijo castle is a very short train ride from the station near to the hotel. It is also very easy to get to the famous Golden Pavillion Temple. All these can be covered in the same day.

fabulous hotel, great location
new & in a great position
9.3
The kids couldn't believe we were staying in such an attractive hotel. It was great value. I can't rate the food/dining because we didn't use it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get a bus route map from the hotel staff - they offered one to me & it was very useful for sightseeing. I think it is easier to get to the hotel from Kyoto station by bus, take #4, 17 or 205 & get off at Kawaramachi Sanjo. Get on the bus at the back & pay on the way off at the front.

Great, modern hotel in a great location
Clean, comfortable stay, modern hotel
9
We liked the fact that this was a nice boutique looking hotel; the interior was super modern, and had a very nice clean feel to it.
The location is great - close to Gion (geisha district) and shopping and food.
They also had super comfy beds and great stay!!!

Beautiful Hotel in a great location!
Large rooms, extremely clean, modern
10
This hotel was one of the best I've stayed at in a long time, and the room size was unbelievably large for a hotel in Japan! We had 3 adults (myself, mom and aunt), and we had 3 beds in our room, in addition to 3 robes, 3 towels, 3 sets of everything! It was very convenient and made each of us feel special! The lobby is clean and spacious, ande there is even an iPad for use in the lobby.
The front desk staff was extremely helpful, with maps, bus systems and great English!!!
Restaurant Tip:
The hotel restaurant on the B1 floor is an Italian, higher-end restaurant, though the portion sizes are extremely small. An interesting note for foreigners who do not read Japanese: the dinner menu is set at about 3,000yen per person, though if you can read the Japanese set (pasta, fish or pork dish), it will only cost you 1,680yen per person. The wine servings were extremely small (possibly 3ounces maximum), and about 700yen (whereas you could easily get double the amount for about 500yen elsewhere). The perks of the restaurant were convenience and airconditioning-- after walking around in the August heat, we were happy to stay inside the hotel and pay a little more. **The menu in your room that is advertised for 1,680yen has a choice of entree: fish, pork or pasta. The pork was one very small tenderloin, and the pasta was a small bowl as well, though that is true to Japanese style meals. Small portions, but delicious nonetheless!

crisp new fancy hotel right in downtown Kyoto
excellent location for Kyoto sightseeing. Not the cheapest option though but good value for money
9.3
Right at Kawaramachi-Sanjo crossing.
Fancy rooms. Pro and cool staff, better a business hotel
Good eating options nearby
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
No need to get on any vehicle for important sightseeing spots - 5 mins to Pontocho street. 15 mins to Gion. 25 mins to east Kyoto temples like Kyomizu-dera
Try the conveyor sushi place accross Kawaramachi street at the zebra crossing
Also the buy-a-ticket type eatery 2 houses towards the river in Sanjo street is great and good value
Use buses 204 and 205 for major spots like silver and gold pavillions - drivers sell day passes
Use bus 5 to JR station for a Nara day visit
Go and see lake Biwa for a swim - take small JR line trains along the west coast for a good beach or for a day hike

Design and friendly hotel in the centre of Kyoto
New hotel with nice modern rooms; a nice french bakery at the ground level
9.3
we enjoyed very much our stay at this hotel. we had 2 rooms (relatively large according to japanese standards). rooms are new, very design and very comfortable. the hotel is very design. the staff is extremely nice and helpful. there is a very nice french bakery at the street level where breakfast can be taken. there is a very design and nice italian restaurant downstairs which is very good but a bit pricey. we recommand this hotel without any reservation. it is very calm and ideally situated downtown kyoto.
