Kokusai Hotel Nagoya Info
Nagoya is a city famous for business, shopping and entertainment and the Kokusai Hotel is favorably located right at the heart of it all. The hotel is a good choice for younger tourists and business travelers wanting to stay within walking distance of the nightlife scene. The excellent local public transport links include Sakae Station, less than two minutes walk away and many bus stops. Rooms at the hotel are large for Japanese standards and feature a range of amenities including cable TV, mini bar and plenty of in room toiletries. Multiple restaurants are in-house, serving varied cuisine including Japanese, a Seafood Grill and Italian.

Location and service is great
the breakfast has no variation - exactly the same every morning
It is well located in the downtown of Nagoya City, just a few minutes away from Sakae subway station exit 8. The entire shopping aread is under your feet, you can immerse in shopping the whole day. It is within walking distance, 10 min, to Oasis 21, a nice building. The staff are very friendly and they all speak very good English, there will be no communication difficulty at all. If you wish to make day trips away from Nagoya, the tourist information desk is there to offer advice. The rooms have no view but they are clean and comfortable. There is no much of a variety in the choice of TV channels but it's not a concern to me. Will stay there again the next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's on Cirlce line, there is a shopping mall at Nagoya Dome subway station, worth dropping for daily products.

Nice lobby and coffee shop. Convenient to downtown shops.
Bathroom smelled horribly. Room was very small.
Took a taxi from Nagoya Station. Found out later that the subway is less than a block away if you are willing to carry your luggage. There was no doorman to take my luggage from the taxi so I had to lug it myself. The desk staff was very nice but did not speak much English so could not answer a lot of questions. There was no bellman to take me or my luggage to the room. The room was shockingly small. Barely room to walk to the bed. When I opened the door to the bathroom, I was pushed back by the smell. The room and towels were clean so don't know where the smell came from. Only one towel for my shower. Excellent downtown location with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Close to subway and bus stops.
Hotel Feature Tip : Go next door to the drugstore and buy air freshener for the bathroom.
