- Big room - Nice lobby - Great service staff

- Far away from sakae station

The first impression of this hotel is the good service staff. When i arrived at the hotel, i was completely wet and i received clean towel from the staff promptly. Check in is smooth and room size is ok. The poor point is that the location is about 10 mins walk from station. it is not good for backpackers like me unless you will take a taxi from Nagoya or Kanayama station.

Fantastic staff - superb rooms - HUGE ROOM

location left a bit to be desired (bit of a distance from station and no good shops close by)

The Tokyu was a bit of a lavish luxury to me and my friend on the trip, we got it at a good deal but we did not expect it to be as good as it was. The staff were incredibly friendly taking our bags to our room and contacting us when the room was ready. They not only pronouced my last name correctly (no easy challenge) but also remembered it over our stay. They provided us with a map of Nagoya and when noticing we were leaving straight away provided a smaller one with the tourist attractions marked out to make it easier for us. Internet, while a login is completely free and quick. For our room we were also provided a free upgrade as the room we requested was un avaliable, no complaints at all.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If going to Nagoya Castle (well worth it) take the brisk 30-60 minute walk there rather than public transport. The walk takes you through Hisaya-oodori Park which is a little bit of nagoya's sister cities cultures all chucked into one, quite the hidden gem. Also if ascending the TV Tower I suggest to go up for sunset. There is a point in the tower where the sun sets directly between two identical sky scrapers and it looks fantastic.

Fancy hotel for a great price! Guest Rating: 9.3

Central location, convenient to subway, courteous staff, clean rooms, hallways, and lobbies.

None

We missed the last direct train from Osaka to Tokyo, so we found ourselves stranded in Nagoya for the evening. By a stroke of luck, we found that the Nagoya Tokyu Hotel had a double room available, so we decided to spring for it. We were able to arrive at the hotel relatively easily using the Nagoya subway system. The well-decorated lobby was a great surprise, and the rooms and hallways were clean. By far the greatest part of our stay was the professionalism and courtesy of the hotel staff. I hadn't been able to print agoda's voucher, so the front desk staffer was willing to wait until I was set up in a room before asking me to put it on a USB drive so he could print it. Their patience and flexibility was excellent. In addition, for travelers from the US, the staff has a good number of employees who speak English (or at least will put up with my butchery of the Japanese language!) In total, a great find for an accidental stopover in a great city.

Shopping Tip : There is a well-stocked supermarket called Meidi-ya on the same main street west of the hotel. In addition, for curious travelers, there is a "cat cafe" called Cat St. which is southwest of the hotel, in a block called Princess Dai-dori.
