location is near JR station instead of bustling railway station ,so it's about 20 minutes walk away from the Commercial district and 50 minutes away from the sightseeing area by foot ,but it's convenient to take buses or visit the supermarket for food and the tourist information is around the corner.
Refrigerator and kitchen is available, so it's a good choice for traveler who has dinning budget.
i have a good time there (3 nights)

The hotel has a good location as it is only 5 minutes' walk from JR Nara station. You can do simple cooking at a corner in lobby area and free coffee/tea is available at any time. Free Internet access available near the reception area. The room is clean but the hot water turned cold halfway through bathing, and this happened again in the 2nd night. Fortunately, I usually do not take much time to finish bathing.

i enjoy to stay at this guesthouse because the guesthouse is clean and comfort, and the location is very idea for me to travel around in nara , near to Nara station . It served with hospitality and smiles , planned for us the itinerary in Nara as we have a limited time here. Strongly recommend to my friends.

i stayed for 2 nights with komachi in a twin bunk bed room. i stayed there on my own because the price for the room is the equivalent of a pppn price for dorm room in europe.
it takes only 5 minutes to walk from nara station to komachi. the staff (the owner) is super friendly and is fully aware of what travelers are looking for - useful map of surrounding area, tour books, free internet & pc, printer, free tea, kitchen...etc.
the place is a mixture of modern and traditional japanese style. the room is of decent size and super clean. no problem with insulation.
overall, excellent experience.

Very nice & clean. Just 5 mins to JR Nara station. Owner works at the reception & very kind, friendly person. Room was clean & tidy. Small Japanese style guest house. Owner helped me with my heavy baggage & helpful. Convenient stores right around the corner where u can buy stuff to eat anytime in Japan & Masuya 24hr food outlet very nearby.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nara Deer part is about 20-30 mins walk & a must see!
