The hotel gave a really large breakfast with the room. The hotel was clean and everything spotless. The coffee shop in the reception was really good to have sandiwiches, beer, cheese ect..This was one of the best places we stayed while in Japan.

very convenient location; helpful and professional staff; choice of restaurants Air was a bit stale (tobacco tainted) in the room I occupied, and the window could not be opened. This hotel is amazingly convenient for arrival in Nara by train. I was most pleasantly surprised to find just how easy it is to access the hotel from Nara station (after a long day of travelling). Although the reception desk was busy when I arrived, the service was prompt and efficient. I enjoyed the spacious public areas of the hotel and was pleased to be able to find maps and sightseeing information very easily in the hotel lobby. The air quality and slight residue of tobacco smoke in my room was the only aspect of the hotel that concerned me a bit - my impression is that many Japanese hotels have a bit of a problem providing a really clean non-smoking room, maybe because the linen used by smokers is not segregated from non-smokers' linen, and one wash doesn't get rid of the smell of smoke.
Restaurant Tip : stay long enough to sample the Japanese breakfast and the buffet

Directly next to the station. Small bathroom in the rooms. late starting breakfast. (starting 7 am). You can not use the restaurant when you have to take the shuttle bus on time to the airport. Very poor service. breakfast buffet is mostly Japanese style with poor western style products. This hotel is more 4 than 5 star. Drinks in lobby overpriced. The hotel is ok but a little outdated and not worth 5 stars. You can walk to the center (shops) and the attractions. Bicycles are for rent at the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For people who would like to walk, the sightseeing attractions are close by. you could visit Nara in one day. It is a small little village. The hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the main shopping street.With small little restaurants(good priced). From there you walking to the park with all the shrines and temples.
A must is the big temple with the deers in the main shopping street and the one with the Big Buddha and not to forget the temple with the thousands lanterns.

Location; spacious lobby; excellent restaurants. The carpeting and furniture in the room were a bit worn. Next to JR Nara railway station and within easy walking distant of Nara Park.
Clean; friendly staff; good restaurant with excellent value dinner buffet. I rented a bike for only 500 yen per day which was an efficient way to see the more outlying sites in Nara. Recommendable hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : Take advantage of the cheap and convenient bike rental.

Nara is a beautiful place and I am sure no one says it was a failure to come here. Anyway you should plan some time for all the beatiful places.

I don't remember much as we stayed there only one night. It was nice enough that we thought about staying another, but Nara can be seen in one day.

We liked the hotel but the availability of light food is a problem. Walk toward the Naramacchi and there are a number of fast food restuarants.
Hotel Feature Tip : Bus station within walking distance, use for all buses and airport limousine.

Convient location-good for shopping with Daimaru, Gap, Tokyu Hands, Crysta Shopping Street nearby. Easy to travel with subway system. Near Namba station for Nankai railway back to airport. The English standard for the staff has to be improved. Seating for breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 is a bit crowded. Variety of food for breakfast has to be improved. Near Shinsaibashi subway (turn left after leaving hotel and can reach a connection within 80 steps). Equipped with hairdryer and everything you need for either business travel or sightseeing. Highly convenient with a good Ramen restaurant (Mannen) in the street opposite to the side entrance of Hotel Trusty nearby. Post office and shoe mending stores can be found just opposite to Hotel Villa Fountaine.
