Huge Room

Good location about 500 meters from the Okayama Station. Very helpful staff with reasonable English and a good attitude. They will even lend you bicycles FOC! Huge room (corner) with entrance hall, bathroom, separate toilet and very large comfortable room with good TV with one English speaking channel!
Able to open windows for fresh air and a choice of pillows available at reception was also appreciated. Breakfast at Y840 per person was exceptional value so long as you did not want cereals. Good size refrigerator in room and convenience store outside hotel together with many nearby restaurants enabled other options for meals if required.
Wi-fi available in comfortable lobby was very fast.
We used this hotel as a base from which to tour surrounding areas for 5 days and would do so again as it was a very comfortable stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Okayama on our way to Naoshima and Teshima islands. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and spoke excellent english, I wish we could have stayed longer!
The staff also gave us a really helpful map of the area with sightseeing tips and restaurant and bar recommendations.
It was the nicest and most affordable hotel experience I have ever had. I really hope to visit again later in the year and I will reccomend to any friends travelling in Japan. The staff are really wonderful and there is amazing coffee and room service as well!

A most enjoyable stay in a well located area within walking distance of the station,shops,beautiful gardens and Okayama Castle.The corner room was huge, with a separate room for the entrance, the bathroom and the toilet. Lovely display of local pottery art in the foyers and artistic floral arrangements at lift lobbies. Friendly, helpful staff.Modern decor and bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

This hotel is one of the best I have been to in all of Japan, the rooms are large, comfortable, and clean, the hotel staff are courteous and friendly, and the best part was our own massage chair in the room. The hotel is near the train station, and also the tram lines, Okayama is a lovely place and is easy to get around. The hotel is near some decent eateries and also has good shopping nearby if needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Okayama Koraku Hotel. We have been going to Hadaka Matsuri- Naked Man Festival at Saidaiji temple for the past four years. This was by far the best hotel we've stayed in. It's an easy walk from Okayama station to the hotel. There are quite a few restaurants and convenience stores in the immediate area. It was quite a nice surprise to have the luxurious massage chair in our room. We enjoyed the free bike rental to go to Okayama caste and Korakuen garden. Our stay was absolutely wonderful!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you have a chance go to Hadaka Matsuri- Naked Man Festival. It's the third weekend in February and a great cultural experience. You've never seen anything like it! I guarantee it!

The hotel was very easy to access, the staff pleasant and helpful, the room neat, clean, moderately spacious, and very comfortable, and quiet. Having a good-sized convenience store right off the lobby was very helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Try to use the local tram line--inexpensive, easy to use, fun. The garden on the island in Okayama's city center is somewhat different from other traditional Japanese landscape gardens in its open use of space and merits a visit. We used the rail lines from nearby Okayama Station to visit Kurashiki (pottery, art museums, streets of traditional shops and houses) and to cross the Seto Ohashi Bridge to Takamatsu on Shikoku Island to see yet another large and distinctive garden park, then return by ferry boat (65 minutes) to Uno and a train ride back to Okayama.
