Okinawa Port Hotel, Okinawa

i would definetly recommend this hotel for those who have a short stay in Naha. The location of this hotel was great, walking distance to supermarket, shopping district, train station, near by beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there is one beach near the hotel approximatly 15min walk, its not the nicest beach beacuse you have the view of the highway bridge, but at least the sand and the water was clean. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it. The price of a double room was not that expensive and for sure worth it.

The location of hotel was great for accessing city and airport by monorail. The hotel itself is a 3 minute walk from the monorail or a 10 min walk to Kokusai St, Naha. Its a good place to base yourself if you are on a short trip and want the convenience of being close to monorail. There is a Nippon Car Rental shop right next door to the hotel, as well as some good local restaurants very close by. Staff at hotel very friendly & helpful and limited english was spoken. The hotel room was clean. The bathroom was small and a bit tired looking, but for price we paid it was acceptable and good value for money. If you want convenience, value for money (remember it is Japan) and a neat tidy room then this is a very good choice.

The hotel is in a great location if you want to just be within walking distance of the Asahibashi monorail station in Naha (and Naha is where most of the stuff is on Okinawa island anyway). It is only a few stops from the Airport as well. Also, the main bus terminal, Naha Bus Terminal, is right next to the monorail station too, so from there, you can go just about anywhere else in Okinawa. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but it is not that cold (still cold enough for beer though). The staff does not speak much English (as with just about anyone else in Okinawa), so do you research ahead of time so that you don't have to communicate that much with them. There is free internet access in the room. There is also a free breakfast buffet each morning too for each guest (and I'm not talking about just a few muffins either). The rooms are not that large, but most rooms aren't in Japan. Still, it was nice and confortable.
