Pleasant stay at Hotel Kintetsu Universal City Osa

I was planning a holiday for my family in Tokyo and decided at the last minute that we would include a visit to Universal Studios in Osaka for our 4 year old daughter. So as not to deviate too much from our Tokyo itinerary, we decided to spend only one night in Osaka ie. take the early shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka to be in time for the park opening in the morning, spend the whole day at the park, and return to Tokyo the following day. It was therefore important to find accommodation that was close to the park so as not to waste valuable time commuting from the hotel to the park and back. We were therefore very pleasantly surprised to find that Hotel Kintetsu Universal City was literally a stone's throw from the park - it took just 1-2 minutes to take a pleasant walk from the hotel doorstep to the park entrance! That wasn't only the plus point - the room was also very spacious and came with free take home Universal Studios toiletries. I will most definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Universal Studios, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Great value, and large space.
Large lobby, and cheap room rate.

The hotel is big and look great,even it is an old type look and aged. Its room is much larger than most Japanese hotel, so if you are not looking at a newer or fashioned hotel, then this one will be the best buy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A bus stop is just in front of this hotel, 3 bus lines will take you directly to train station or other places.

Nearest hotel to Universal Studio Japan
Two minutes walk from hotel to Universal Studio Japan. We travel with 6 years old son so we got corner family room on 23rd floor, with 3 single beds, the room was superb with view from USJ. The best part is that you can sneak out from USJ back to the hotel and go back in(You need to be Stamped though)whenever you want. There are aslo Mcdonald, Mos Burger, Starbucks around. If you like japanese food, I'd recommend Ramen restaurant and place call Ootoya. Their food are best with reasonable prices.

During our stay, my son told me that if we are visitting USJ again, he want to stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to those who want to enjoy themselves at USJ. Since you can buy admission ticket at USJ counter on ground floor. I got discount from buying express pass from being guest of this hotel. You need to recheck this special rate again from USJ's web site under Benefit of staying at Official Hotel of USJ. One more thing, this is the only hotel that equipped with in room Safe box. My other 2 didn't have. Hotel officers hardly speak English but they are very willing to help in everyway they can.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you have seen the special rate of the express pass you need to show them that page for references. They will tell you to buy it at Guest Service counter in front of USJ.
