Osaka Monterey Hotel is value & good to stay
Good accesibility to Airport, there's a shuttle bus directly to airport; Good accessibility to the shopping centres and very convenient to take the train lines & JR.

It's good for the overall service and the hotel location. If the check in time could be ajusted more flexible will better, as the flight we had last time is midnight, and it's early morning when we arrived in OSAKA, but the check in time is fixed to 3pm strictly, not even allow us to check in 1 hr / half hr earlier. So, if early check in service can be provided, it will be much better.

Comfortable stay in a room bigger than expected.

I had booked a single room at this hotel and the room allocated to me was the largest throughout my Japan trip. While the room is not newly renovated, the equipments and furnitures are in good condition. Bed was comfortable and the bath was regular size. There was even a sofa in my room and a bay window. I was fortunate that my room had a view of Osaka Station - not was not a problem as the windows were able to keep noise out once closed. Check in and check out was smooth. Staff spoke good English. And most importantly the hotel is extremely accessible not only to the trains and subways but also the airport limousine . Overall a good stay. I scored this hotel at a 50% discount from Agoda and am extremely satisfied. There are many shops around Osaka Station (underground and aboveground) so this is a good place to base yourself.

Pleasant stay for a short vacation

Pleasant stay in a central location of a developed city. Not far from shopping area and cultural/historical site. Well connected with JR and subway lines. Hotel staff are friendly though their english is hardly comprehensible.

This is a hotel that is easily accessible around in Osaka since it is only a 5 minutes walk away from the Osaka Station. The room is clean and comfortable, dining can be easily found around this area even for Chinese Restaurant. The only setback is the hotel staff are mostly unfriendly but some of them converse well in English.

Old hotel but great location

Short walk from Osaka station. Close to all Major malls like hankyu, daimaru and hanshin. About 15 mins to umeda sky tower. Friendly and helpful staff. This is an old hotel that needs a little freshening up. Design is dated with dim lighting. But rooms are still clean and great value for the location.
