This budget hotel is centrally located and is a great choice for business guests and travelers thanks to its close proximity to business and entertainment venues. The area is dominated by shopping centers and important business centers and the local train and subway station can easily transport guests to other major cities such as Kyoto and Kobe quickly and cheaply. Each of the 280 guest rooms are attractively decorated and feature modern amenities including air conditioning, satellite TV and surprisingly large bed for such a downtown location. The II Grande Umeda Hotel house a brand new restaurant which serves delicious Italian cuisine as well as imported wines from around the world. The hotel also features a small but comprehensive business center to cater for its many corporate clients.

Problems in heating of rooms
No wireless internet
The hotel's location is good for the price. Although not mentioned at the internet site of the hotel, it is easy to find and close to major shopping centers. The hotel proposes to take a taxi from the airport which is nonsense. It is very expensive in Japan. The best way is to take a JR train to Tennoji and then take the metro to Minami-Morimachi. The room's heating system was not working very well and the room was cold. Also someone should clean the water heater (kettle)! It was really in a bad condition.

Convenient position\nEfficiently well run
Rooms a bit characterless
An inexpensive hotel, one station on the subway from Osaka Central station. Station is for 2 subway lines
Travel tip : Although close to subway station, hotel is not obvious -- I had to ask. Locals seem to know it just as \"Il Grande\". Rest of title adds to inter-language confusion.

I enjoyed my two nights at this hotel. The location was good -- close to a metro station. It is located at the north-central part of Osaka (which is more of a shopping area), but it only took me approximately 15 mins to get to the south-central part of Osaka my metro (which also has lots of shops, but also many bars and restaurants).\n\nThe hotel and my room were clean. My studio room was small, but it is to be expected in Japan. The hotel has two computers at the lobby area, which was great since I travelled without my laptop.\n\nThe staff was friendly and spoke English. \n\nOverall, it was a nice stay.
Travel tip : If you turn left once you exit the hotel and follow the road for about 10 mins, you will get to an area with many restaurants and shopping centers.
