Hotel rooms were neat and constantly clean.
Breakfast was included in room fee and it was delicious.
Service was top notch.
Hotel is near a major rail station, which cuts down on transportation costs.
Rooms would be on the small side for some people. We liked the size just fine and they have larger suites available that are not extremely expensive.
Staff knew very little Western languages [English, German, etc]. Would not be a huge problem, but most of their patrons are from Western countries.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is on a budget and would like a comfortable place to crash when taking a rest. The rooms may be on the small side for some, but my companion and I fit fine and we are respectively 5'8 and 6'3.
Despite the language barrier, the staff were extremely helpful and will to work with us despite the circumstances. If you know basic Japanese, you will be fine. The staff even provided us with a map showing local needs in the area [coin laundry, ATMs, etc.]
Breakfast in the lower cafe is divine with a mix of western and traditional fare buffet style. All servers were prompt to get you what you need and keep the food stocked. I have not tried their skyline dining, nor their snack lounge but they are available.
All in all, if you're looking for a comfortable place to crash without all the fuss; this is it. They refurbished the entire hotel and it's top notch for those with a tight pocket book.
Nightlife Tip : The New Osaka Hotel has two entrances that are opened at specific times. If you arrive after 1 am, the east entrance is the only entrance open.
Also, there is an awesome Takoyaki place west of the hotel; about 1/2 a block. They are open from 6 - 10 for the late dinner rush. Just something to grab and munch on if you forget to eat.

Overall, this is a friendly, reasonably priced business hotel but also good for travelers on a budget.
Restaurant Tip : There are plenty of great food options in Shin Osaka station, including a great cheap conveyor belt sushi place that did burger sushi. Brilliant!
