Comfortable two-star stay
The no-frills room is quiet and comfortable

I stayed in this ryokan for two days to attend to some business. There are no frills, but the room has everything to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep, and to make oneself presentable the next day.
The owners don't speak English, but are very courteous, including giving tourist brochures for the local attractions. After staying at a much more expensive ryokan in Hakone that had very impersonal service, I felt this was a welcome touch.
I would stay here again.

Nice and tidy small family hotel
Family style, small, tidy but has everything, close to transportation

Close to transportation, this is a nice small family business. Clean and tidy, owners family live in side, warm and nice but speak few English. Close to attractions and local transportation. Airport bus stops not far from hotel. Good to stay here 1 day and 1 night to see the local area. But you may feel difficulty if you speak zero Japanese.
