easy access to attractions, quiet location and safe.

very problem to reach hotel without bus service from airport to hotel as in winter delay flight is common. heavy luggage make walking very tiring and prone to fall in winter

still i will stay at this hotel for my next visit as it value for money and most important it bus service to airport with the bus waiting bay shelter from snow and wind. the staff are helpful and smiling make us very happy, thank you alot. happy new year.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : easy access to attractions and bus to airport from hotel a bonus if only also can be available for late check in as flight delay is common in winter

Close to the Sapporo train station and Botanical Gardens.

We booked two stays at the Keio and neither of the rooms looked anything like the pictures on the website.

Traveling in the middle of winter, we were relieved that the hotel was in short walking distance from the Sapporo train station and easily accessible with luggage. The foyer is 70's style but very clean. Staff are helpful. Rooms are standard size compared to other hotels that I visited in Hokkaido. Internet stations are set up in the foyer and can be used for 250 yen per 30 mins.

Decent hotel with helpful staff Guest Rating: 7

Walking distance from JR train station and very helpful staff.

Very small room - we were given a semi-double room as opposed to a double room so the bed was cramped for 2 of us.

A decent hotel with very helpful staff. The room was clean and amenities came with full-size shower foam, shampoo and rinse. Room is very small as is expected of most Japanese hotels. However, we were disappointed to be given a semi-double room as opposed to a double room. Hence, the bed was a bit of a squeeze for 2 of us. Although the hotel is within walking distance from the JR train station, you will probably need to ask around for directions as the hotel is not visible once you exit from the station. Also note that there are many exits from the station. It was a bit of a hassle lugging our luggage along the icy street to the hotel in the blistering cold.

Hotel Feature Tip : After a couple of days, we found out that there was a way of walking to the hotel (or at least close to it) via the massive underground shopping mall at the train station. It is hard to give directions, but head towards the Century Royal Hotel (which is connected to the station underground near to the alley with all the food/restaurants). When you exit from Century Royal to the ground floor, you'll find yourself just a block away from Keio Plaza. Beats braving the cold on the slippery streets when you're there during winter.
