The hotel is located right next to subway station and in walking distance to Tanukikoji shopping streets where we target to visit. Very good price, offering free of charge inernet service and roomy size for a couple in downtown Sappporo. There are various shops and restaurants. The receptionist is friendly and speak good English. From New Chitose Airport to this hotel will take 80 min and 1280Yen by JR and subway.

Great location with big room!

I had a pleasant time staying there. Mercure Hotel is at the heart of Sapporo! Restaurants and markets just across the street. Convenience store are everywhere. You can go to Fish market for breakfast as it is only 10 mins walk form Mercure. I stayed two nights in between my Niseko skiing trip. The coach to Niseko stop is at Ramada hotel and less than 5 mins walk. I would highly recommend this hotel to those who is planning To stay in Sapporo!
Travel tip:
Go to the local supermarket for local japanese souvenir and get some from the fish market then drop off the stuff and you can go to Odori for shopping more!

Great hotel, great location
Stylish, in the heart of Susukino, right next to subway, bus and tram lines.

My husband and I love this hotel. We've stayed about 3 times total and every time we go back we love it even more. It's stylish and modern and is very comfortable. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are large for hotels in Asia and the price is not so bad. We payed about $93 for two people, which is a little expensive for Japan, but with this hotel, it was worth it. The value is definitely good. I highly recommend it!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you are in Sapporo on a weekend or a holiday, buy a 1 day ticket for 500 yen (called a Donichika in Japanese). You can ride subways in any direction all day for that set price. Also, if you arrive in a station at night and need to buy a ticket, look near the ticket machines. Sometimes good souls leave donichikas on the counters there after they arrive at their last stop.

Decent hotel with helpful staff and new facilities
Clean, modern, close to everything, friendly staff, check in and out only took me 3 mins

Really happy about the stay, it was close to restuarants and shoppings. Theres car park just behind the hotel and cost only 1200 yen for whole day. I will stay again if i ever go to sapporo again.
Restaurant Tip:
The sushi restuarant cross the street which is at the corner crossing was superb.

Convenient location with less than 5 mins of walking distance from both Susukino stations. Staff is fluent in English.
Great food and shopping around the area, which makes it fun and convenient even in winter time.

the stay started well with the very friendly and helpful reception staff. they knew the area well and had us on our way with a full list of things to do and see in the area. the rooms them selves where perfect for me and my partner. the location of the hotel was also ideal with a number of bars and restaurants within a short walk. overall ecstatic with the stay!

I stayed in the Mercure for a 3-night ski trip. The hotel's location can't be beat in terms of access to night-life - it sits in the heart of Susukino. I really loved the design of the room, with the desk right in front of the big window with a nice view of the city - it was so nice I was even tempted to sit down and get a bit of work done. My bed was also very comfortable and the entire hotel felt clean and luxurious. The breakfast spread was very nice, but I thought the inn-hotel restaurant was a bit overpriced.
