Willing to upgrade higher class room in 2nd night of stay when I complained the room's heat is too hot.

1. it is very difficult to find hotel's people know to speak English. 2. Standard room's tiolet is too loud and keep on flushing. 3. Hair Dryer is too old which looks over 20 years old.

When I first entered the hotel's lobby, I feel there looked the class was not bad but the bell boy is not self-motivated to move my luggages until I asked him to do for me. I asked him why the indoor's temperature is so hot and how to turn the air-conditioner cooler then he had a ridiculous answer that he told me either to turn off the heat or to open the room's door to sleep. There are only to supply centralised heat in the whole hotel and no any cool air for separate room even can't open any window. So, the hotel should consider the different clients' need for the air-conditioning supply. If people come from Hong Kong like me, we really can't handle too hot of indoor temperture at least let to adjust the room temperture not only heat.

clean, conveniently located

The Sapporo Novotel Hotel is a nice place to stay whether you are on business or just on vacation. It is located very conveniently with two subway stops very close and Suskino just a short walk. There's a nice park behind the hotel and a couple of really good places to eat within a few blocks.

Comfortable beds, clean room, nice amenities such as a sewing kit.

Coffee wasn't free in the room, so we went downstairs to the cafe; expensive coffee, 700 yen, ouch! I guess this is to be expected at a hotel.

For the price, I would stay here again; very quiet, nice location by a big park, and in close striking distance to the city centre and the mountain ropeway.

Restaurant Tip : There is a French restaurant on the streetcar street that does a fabulous Price Fixe lunch - only 1900 yen for a 7-course meal (with excellent coffee!). I think the name is Kayanochaya.

Clean, conveniently located, helpful staff

The Novotel Sapporo Hotel was a nice place to stay. It's conveniently located near two subway stops and not a long walk to Suskino. There's a nice park behind the hotel and a couple of great little restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay whether on business or just on vacation.

Restaurant Tip : Nice yakiniku place within 3mins walk and a great French patisserie about 5mins walk.

Friendly service, free internet, laundry availability, and breakfast included.

Room was small compared to western standards. Had to use bed to open suitcases. Wish queen bed was available instead of two twins.

Restaurant Tip : Restaurants around the fish market seem to offer the freshest and best seafood.

Free shuttle bus around downtown Sapporo. Good location next to a nice park.

Not much to do in the immediate area besides the park. Charged for the use of a baby cot - all other hotels we've stayed at in Japan let you use cots for free.

I thought that the hotel satisfactory overall but probably over priced compared with other hotels. The room service menu offered only a very small yet pricey selection. We had planned to order room service for dinner but there so few options ended up having to walk down to the convenience store! Very disappointed about that! For the price we paid, next time I would probably choose a more centrally located hotel. The buffet breakfast was pretty good though and offered a wide selection.

The hotel was nice and the staff spoke English very well. Was also located quite well near all the highlights

for the price we were paying - the rooms were tiny. We do expect this from Japanese hotels, but these were much smaller than any other room we had stayed in out of Tokyo, Kyoto, Niseko etc. Much smaller.
