This recently refurbished 14 storey hotel is located in downtown Tokyo and features modern rooms and easy access to many of Tokyo's popular districts. There are several metro lines close to the hotel including the Akasaka-Mitsuke station which is just a short walk away allowing guests to explore the city for themselves. Each room is small but comfortable with modern furnishings, dial-up internet access and a comfortable bed. The Akasaka Excel Tokyu Hotel houses an impressive amount of amenities ranging from corporate banquet halls to a shopping arcade and beauty salon. The hotel's restaurant is situated on the 14th floor and serves authentic Japanese cuisine ad offers good views of the surrounding area.

Convenient location, clean and helpful staff
Rooms small but reasonable for the price
The Akasaka Excell Hotel is a reasonably-priced hotel located in central Tokyo which is conveniently located near many popular tourist destinations. A subway station is located across the road and can be accessed by a pedestrian bridge. The rooms, although somewhat small, are adequate for most purposes and reasonable for the price. Staff were very attentive and helpful.
Restaurant Tip : Although the hotel only has one restaurant, the attached shopping complex has many others and the rear lane has an excellent selection of many different cuisines.

- Great location, near to lots of eateries and just short walk to the Asakasa-Mitae metro station (much better than Tokyo Prince).
- Provides DIRECT free shuttle to Disney resorts (approx 45mins), though only 2 frequencies in the morning and nite.
- Nice room features with Bose speakers, good internet connection in addition to standard hotel facilities.
- Room was stuffy. Called and complained thrice and still not working well. Doesn't help at all as we were unable to open the windows to let the outside fresh air in as was told that our room was facing a govt building.
- Room is extremely small - as compared to Tokyo Prince we stayed and price comparable to Tokyo Prince but did not include breakfast so I think that's a minus.
- Hotel corridors leading to your rooms - so plain that it was confusing - have problem deciding to turn left or tight (long corridors to walk by the way if you make a wrong turn).

Great location. SUbway literally directly across the street and about 12 blocks of reataurants also across the street. Super super clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Most speak English. I would stay again.
Given the great location, I would not consider this a big negative but the room which is a moderate double is only 12X14 feet. But you don't go to Tokyp to spend your time in the room. Only 1 TV english TV station which is CNN. I booked a non-smoking room but was placed in a smoking room the first two nights. The hotel corrected the issue as soon as a non-smoking room became available.
