Cheap, good location

Rooms are small. No wifi. Pay Internet.

The hotel was cheap for Tokyo and the location was good, only a five to ten minute stroll to Rappongi. Rooms are small by Western standards. Could barely manage to sit down in washroom. There is no wireless and you had to pay for Internet. Otherwise, a nice place to stay.

Good location, decent price for location, relatively friendly and helpful staff, free, fast Internet in room

Single room was tiny--I didn't fit at the desk and I barely fit in the shower. Bed was uncomfortable. Lots of noise.

I've stayed at many hotels around Tokyo and several in the Akasaka area. I picked this one because I wanted to stay in Akasaka, but wanted to save money--and they had a good rate for multiple nights. I regret not spending a little extra for a nicer place. The room was a little too small, even by Tokyo standards. They provided exactly one bottle of water per day and you had to carry soap upstairs from the front desk, since it wasn't in the room, which seemed a little strange. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, with only a very light blanket. The front desk also insisted on keeping my key every time I went out, and then made me wait in line to get it when I came back. The wallpaper was peeling, and what's worse, it seemed like the whole place was under construction--there was noise every day for hours, starting at 9am, even on Sunday! The walls were paper-thin so there was no way to escape the noise. I had to listen to the cleaning staff chatting in the hallway all day too. At least Akasaka is a great neighborhood. This hotel is slightly less convenient to the shops and restaurants/bars of Akasaka Mitsuke than hotels closer to the Akasaka and Akasaka Mitsuke subway stations, but it's close to the upscale, brand new Akasaka Sacasu shopping area, and it's a short walk to Roppongi. There are plenty of great ramen, Chinese, Korean, and sushi restaurants all around the Akasaka area.

Restaurant Tip : Akasaka is one of the best neighborhoods in Tokyo for food. There's tons of upscale stuff, such as the restaurants in the Akasaka Sacasu plaza just up the road--I recommend the Chinese Diner, Dragon Red River, and their killer Tan Tan Men. Check out the ramen shops along Akasaka Dori (Tokyo Ramen, Arigato Ramen), as well as some of the smaller izakaya on the side streets. Finally, Akasaka is known for its Korean and Chinese in particular--take advantage of it!

very clean, cheap, close to akasaka's main area

doesn't have direct transport to/from narita airport

The hotel was good for the price. Clean but small rooms/tiny bathroom. The location is good -- close to subway. The hotel doesn't have director transport to/from narita airport. Close to korean town -- you can walk from the hotel to the main area of akasaka as well. taxi's are readily available. Akasaka is close to rappongi if you're looking for nightlife. Overall, good hotel for the price you pay.

roppongi on foot, near subway st, reached by airport limousine bus.

not the cheapest one. a capsule inn next to it would provide a way cheaper price, subway st. is a bit complicated (most of the destination you will have to change to other train).

quite cheap (remember, its located in roppongi), near to akasaka subway station, right next to 24 hour convenience store which has VISA and MASTER card ATM in case you urgently need cash, can be reach by airport limousine bus (from the nearest hotel you'll just have to pay minimum fees for taxi), roppongi midtown and roppongi hills on foot, really nice and helping staffs, a very interactive and helpful touch screen restaurant and bar's guide at the lobby. in the other words, this hotel is not for those who are really in a saving mode, but for example if you take your family, and just want to have a cheap yet very convenient place near by harajuku, roppongi, shibuya, this hotel would give more than you expected.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : go to roppongi hills and experience tokyo from 52th floor building

Good location, room ok, small but functional. Free wi-fi internet in rooms

Rather poor service from the front desk. Little English spoken and no one there seemed to know anything about anything re their area of the city, suggestions, etc.

The Akasaka Yoko Hotel is in an excellent location and relatively cheap for such a good location in Tokyo. The room I used was reasonably comfortable, but not special in any way. The attitude of the front desk people though is the big detraction. You are pretty much on your own if you stay here--don't expect and real information from the "Information" Desk and don't expect anything other than the basics that a hotel provides.

Nice staff

Little room

Great Hotel; Great Location; great staff; the rooms are fully furnished but just a little bit small. The hotel is five minutes away from Akasaka Station. Akasaka area is in Tokyo. Any shops just near the hotel. The rooms rate is fair. I really liked this hotel. Has to be recommended!

Excellent location. Friendly staff with pretty good english. Very helpful.

The room was pretty small, and the bathroom was positively tiny.

The Akasaka Yoko hotel is a very clean very centrally located hotel with easy access to midtown Tokyo. Rotanga is very close and you can easily get to the rest of the city from the Akanaka station which is only a 5 minute walk. Also if you are having trouble with Japanese food there is a McDonalds close by and a 7-11 right next door. I would definately stay here again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are 2 different subway operators in Tokyo and you have to pay twice if you get off at the wrong station. Be carefull

Decent location

small rooms

The room was a bit smaller than I anticipated, especially for the price. We had three adults in one room, and the extra bed was the equivalent of a wooden floor, as far as comfort goes. The room was clean enough, but don't expect any help from the concierge for sightseeing. The Tokyo map they have available is good, though. It reminded me of something closer to what a motel is in America, only at a hotel price.

Restaurant Tip : There was something called Akasaka Plaza, or something like that, and it has a restaurant in it called Ninja which is hilarious, plus across the street from that plaza is a nice area full of restaurants and bars. I recommend using the Tokyo map to find it, the concierge we asked about it gave us wrong directions.

free in room internet/tv/game console. great to have internet in my room and not have to use my laptop with a converter. surprise as it wasn't advertised.

Games and most tv channels were not in English(to be expected tho) also the hotel made me pay to use the downstairs internet to find my booking number as i didn't have it on me.. very expensive

Restaurant Tip : head towards the metro station on the same side as the hotel maybe 10 minute walk to an Indian restaurant called Moti located on the 2nd floor. Good Lunch time meals at a great price. Very Filling

Great location, nice service: simple and easy to access everything and everywhere.

A small room

I went to stay at the Akasaka Prince Hotel after staying at Yoko Hotel. I personally love Yoko Hotel better because of the cost and the service. The service and location was very much the same as the Prince Hotel. I really recommend this hotel. I did not eat at this hotel, so I do not know anything about the food/dining there. Internet access was also cheaper than the other hotel. It was $1 for 10 minutes, yet the other hotels was $1 for 5 minutes. Everything was cheaper and better, I think. The location was also closer to subway. Enjoy your trip to Akasaka. There are a lot of places to eat and see near there. It's located in front of the national TV Station. You might meet famous people!

We had booked another room for further days after going to Kyoto. We booked for a C-type room because of a lack of space for luggage, and ended with a lower B-type room. No solution was provided by the hotel.

The Akasaka Yoko is convenient and efficient as a basic cheap-end centrally located Tokyo hotel. Be prepared for lack of personal space and the need to walk

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bear in mind if you have sick or infirm member of your party that this hotel is some distance from the Akasaka Subway station which is iself, poorly connected to the general system - several changes with very long walks between lines at nearby interchange stations

Location and free internet connection.

A/C is rather noisy.

Excellent location, near transport. Room were clean and quite nice but small. You get free internet connection n the room. The front desk people can speak little english but helpful. Need to improve number of qty of the accessories (shower cap, toothbrush, etc.) in bathroom and pay attention on shower drainage. Nice restaurant in this area. Overall a really nice hotel and I will probably stay at it again if I ever visit Tokyo again.

Nightlife Tip : Walkable distance from nice restaurants and famous drinking area.

My only additional comments would be to keep searching for other hotels. Be very careful when booking a triple room. This hotel has only double rooms but advertised it as a triple and I feel that I was misled.

Travel tip : There were some great takeaway places with decent food nearby.
