Good location
I had a sort of last minute booking and the location is just great. It's a few mins walk from the Toei Oedo Line Kuramae station. It's also walking distance to the Kaminarimon in Asakusa. There's a huge 7-Eleven right across the street but you'll have to go around just to cross. The "front" of the hotel is not accessible to handicapped or anything with wheels too so it could be a little inconvenient to go around the block to bring your luggage through the other side. As in other APA hotels I've stayed at, they're clean and compact and just enough for the basics. I just didn't like that the room didn't have enough air circulation and it was way hotter inside the room than outside (which made it uncomfortable.)

The room is too small, but its spa is ok.
For us, the room is too small. Very smal. The spa is clean and good. The breakfast is ok.

Another Excellent APA
I chose this property because (like the APA Shinjuku Gyoenmae), it has a spa area that's a wonderful way to start the day or a great way to end a tiring day of walking. Like other APA properties, this is fastidiously clean and close to the metro stop -- just a couple of minutes from the Kuramae stations on either the Asakusa Line or the Oedo Line. I enjoyed the Japanese breakfast each morning as well. Like most hotels in this class, the rooms are small and may not have a view, but I am used to that -- it's really not much smaller than tiny expensive "Boutique" class rooms in Manhattan! If you want large western style rooms, you'll have to pay the price and go to the Hyatt Tokyo or similar. Btw, much has been written about the flat APA non-pillows -- I recommend taking your own old pillow and leaving it at the site (and just take home your pillow case). If you don't have a pillow that you're willing to leave behind, go to Walmart and pick up a $3 pillow that you can travel with, so you won't mind leaving it behind. I do that WHEREVER I travel now, not just to Japan!
