Nestled along the banks of the majestic Sumida River, Asakusa radiates a special brilliance among other major city centers of Tokyo. The mere mention of its name evokes a certain sense of nostalgia within Japanese people, rekindling memories of their hometown. Asakusa's charm flows from a blending of the old and the new. Its streets are filled with the traditional atmosphere of downtown Tokyo, fascinating visitors with old-fashioned shops, selling everything from ornaments to food, as they stroll by. Yet, nearby modern high-rise office buildings soar above the riverside. Standing tall at this crossroad of tradition and the future is Asakusa View Hotel. Featuring 337 guestrooms, 17 banquet halls, 9 restaurants (and bars) and a fitness center within its 28 floors, Asakusa View Hotel satisfies all the modern lifestyles need of it guests during their stay. Internet access was free, something you don't get in some of the big 5 star hotels.
A real great neighbourhood and something for everyone in an extremely clean friendly area - and plenty of people of all ages move around on bicycles.
- Nightlife Tip : Try the small Samurai Bar across the road from the hotel - great friendly staff and they make a great Samurai curry.
