No smoking, city views. very comfortable size - I am 6`1`` tall ~ was expecting something you could not swing a cat in and was very pleasantly surprised.

Very little except that I had to pass floors in the lift where the dreaded smokers were! But not the hotel@s fault. Sadly many Japanese smoke like steam-trains.

For a middle of the road Australian traveller, this hotel is a bargain and is very near travel connections for JRail especially. A very safe area with 24 hour food shops nearby and relatively cheap eating places/restaurants and the like. Is expensive to eat in the hotel (like all hotels, it seems) but we only did so once. As our first stopping place in Japan, it was very much a worthwhile place that allowed us to settle and get our bearings. Staffwere very helpful, courteous and responsive - in English and Japanese.

Travel tip : In the evening, go to the bar at the top of the hotel (28th floor), buy a beer and gazeover a marvellous. dazellingly pretty cityscape. During the day (yes!we went there during the day) Mt Fuji is quite visible away to the west.

Friendly staff. Well appointed rooms.

Not possible to get a receipt for a stay booked on the Internet.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel which is in an interesting area of Tokyo but not that near the subway. Plenty to see in walking distance. The staff were helpful and friendly if sometimes short of explanations in English. When we wanted to book a second short stay the reception staff helpfully suggested that an Internet booking would be cheaper. Which it was. The opening hours for breakfast in the coffee bar were remarkably short.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Excellent kitchenware area just around the corner.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are big (for Tokyo), great service, many good restaurants in the area, and true to the name the upper floors have a great view.

It is not centrally located. While there are 3 subways within walking distance it takes about 25 minutes to get to central tokyo.

My wife and I have stayed at the Asakusa View twice, and will probably stay there again. The rates are very reasonable and Sensoji temple and Kappa bashi are within walking distance

Shopping Tip : Great souvenir shopping at Kappa Bashi (everything you can imagine in terms of kitchen/culinary related items), and the Sensoji temple Nakamise.
