Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

we really enjoyed staying at this hotel because it is near many famous landmarks around the akasaka area. we could walk to a nearby shopping mall and a nearby building that has a few izakaya there. we enjoyed dining and sightseeing. the hotel is also near the subway and the JR line. the chiyoda/hibiyaline is really convenient connecting to many inportant stations like shibuya, ginza, omotesando. easy connections to shinjuku and tokyo station. would recommend anyone to stay here.
Restaurant Tip:
if you have a chance, try the yakiniku restaurant that is just across from the hotel. you have to go down the stairs to the basement. the staff doesn't speak english but there is a menu with pictures, so just point to whatever that you want to have. friendly staff.

note that the hotel does not provide any tour service to mount fuji/disneyland. you have to rely fully on trains and maps. also, not all staffs there speak english. it was very difficult to communicate.

Super friendly staff, teeny-tiny rooms
Great location if you like night-life until wee hours. Bathroom, W/D in room, free internet

The rooms were adequate. We knew they would be small and booked two rooms for our family with two teenagers. One room smelled of cigarette smoke. Rooms were clean but could use a good scrubbing to clean mold in bathroom. The staff was very friendly but spoke little English and was not able to help us find our way around Tokyo. Free hot tea, coffee and internet was nice. We stayed on the 4th floor and Saturday night was loud until about 2:00 AM from the surrounding bars. Any and all cuisine within walking distance. Beds were not very comfy but had very nice bedding on them. OH, one last thing...the bathrooms are awesome! Spend some time in there :) The complementary shampoo and conditioner is fantastic!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We took the Limo bus from the airport to the Excel Hotel, got off and walked two blocks to our hotel. When we bought our round trip tickets, the limo place gave us FREE two-day Tokyo Metro passes! The perfect solution to expensive taxi rides.
