What a pleasant and enriching experience! We loved the soft sheets, comfortable beds and spacious rooms.
Shopping Tip:
Cerulean Hotel is close to a couple of great fishing stores, perfect for guys who will for sure find all they need for their next fishing trip (river and ocean). Meanwhile ladies will be able to relax getting a nice foot or whole body massage at one of the many parlors just off the streets. Perfect combination for couples.

Nice Hotel, lives up to its reputation

Great, it was super close to the station, it had its own convenient store downstairs, the staff were friendly, one caveat is that they don't speak English well, although I spoke Japanese, those that don't may have trouble communicating. Best part of the hotel was the views, absolutely loved it, you could see the entire city.

I am disappointed that the Cerulean hotel charges everything that normal five star hotel would have included in the service. Tea or coffee in the room has a price tag. Tv channel is limited to Japanese TV. It is difficult to watch foreign news.
Nightlife Tip:
There are many small interesting restaurants and bars in the small lanes around the hotel. Worth to venture into them.

Good location to enjoy Shibuya but dated

i stayed a few days at the cerulean because i tend to circle around shibuya in my leisure time. the hotel's main selling points are its location and the view, especially from the higher floors.
the price puts it below the top hotels of the city but so do the overal quality and services. the rooms are a little sad and small but clean. terrible selection of tv channels, no wifi, no free minibar or breakfast or access to a pool/gym.
it's on the expensive side all things considered.

Long walk to the subway / Room too hot

This hotel is a long walk to the shibuya station because it's on the wrong side of the crossing. You have to walk up a long pedestrian bridge to get to the subway, which may be difficult for elderly persons or persons with disability.
The size of the room was adequate. I stayed with my wife and two kids - ages 10 and 9, and the beds provided were sufficient for all of us. The setting of the room temperature was a little toasty though. We had to ask the hotel to make the room a little cooler, and they changed the settings, but it didn't work. We didn't bother to call the front desk again.
Travel tip:
The Shibuya area (where this hotel is located) is not as nice as the other areas in Tokyo. If you're looking to stay in this area because of the shopping it promises, choose to stay instead in a hotel in the Shinjuku area (or maybe even the Omotesando area). The place is a lot nicer/cleaner, and the shopping as well as the restaurant options are a lot better. We plan to stay in Shinjuku on our next visit to Tokyo.

I really can't fault this hotel... the room was big for Tokyo standards, it was close to Shibuya station which is a great place to base yourself in Tokyo and it had an amazing panoramic view of Tokyo (I could even see Mt Fuji from my window!). The bathroom was beautiful and had every amenity that you could want. It even had a toilet with all the gadgets. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful & spoke English (for those who can't speak Japanese). I am planning another trip next year and will be booking this hotel again!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure you see Meiji Jingu shrine near Harajuku. It's a great haven to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city.
