This popular hotel features 333 rooms and welcomes guests with a magnificent two-storey atrium lobby area complete with European style décor. Located just a short walk away from Tokyo station, the hotel is very close to the Ginza shopping district where guests will find large department stores as well as the Sony Plaza building and Kabukiza Theater. The hotels guest rooms are large for such a downtown location with marble bathrooms complete with separate bath and shower as well as satellite TV and good views of the surrounding area. The Dai-ichi Hotel also houses several restaurants ranging from the first floor Azaela Café which provides fresh coffee and snacks through to the 25th floor Sakura Restaurant which specializes in traditional Japanese cuisine.

Service is not what you would expect for a Japanese hotel
The Dai Ichi Ryogoku is a good hotel, but the service is poor compared to the other Japanese hotels I have stayed at.
Restaurant Tip : Try a restaurant called 'Kuni'. They specialize in cut to order Japanese beef. The beef is very good and the prices are incredible (for Japanese beef in Tokyo)
