We stayed at this hotel for a connecting flight in the next morning. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. The terminal the hotel is located at offers various kinds of food, and the international terminal which is 5 minutes away by monorail offers even more choices. It is also very easy to get back to the city: 10-15 minutes on the monorail and you are back to JR and subway system. Free shuttle bus to international terminal in the early morning (3:40 and 4:20am, and monorail service starts at 5am) so you won't miss your flight. Highly recommended!
Restaurant Tip:
The yakiniku restaurant inside international terminal was a surprising find for me. A5 grade beef and some draft beer made our connecting time very enjoyable!

Superb location but expensive

as our flight to haneda arrived at 10.30pm, haneda excel hotel tokyu was the obvious choice, and we weren't disappointed. though the price is on the high side, the convenience and great food more than made up for it. service was excellent and the rooms were large by tokyo standards.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Onion Gratin Soup at the restaurant, simply superb.

extremely clean, well designed rooms, but the beds are a bit hard for an american! the slippers and robes are such an unexpected pleasant touch to a weary traveler. free wi-fi extremely appreciated.

Large hotel for Tokyo standards and great location

the hotel room is large by tokyo standards. it is located at terminal two at the airport which has some good shops and places to eat. my mom and i even took the free shuttle over to the international terminal to do a little shopping. though the airports free shuttle service does not start until 5 a.m. the hotel has a separate shuttle that leaves at 4:20 a.m. to get you to those early international flights. the free shuttle and metro are very easy to catch and close to the hotel. the staff was amazing, greeting us at the door taking our luggage to our room, wishing us a good night, and helping us checkout. the hotel also accepts black cat (luggage mailing system in japan, it is awesome) luggage and sends luggage out black cat.

my 14-year-old daughter and i had the nice experience of being cared for by the polite and professional staff at this expensive but worthy hotel. it has none of the extras that are usually found at this class of hotel, but it has its own special character: an oasis-like calm in the middleof a busy airport. the staff goes the extra mile to ensure a stress-reducing experience for the busy traveller and they spend time and effort to make sure you are comfortable in every way. they sent our luggage to our next destination very cheaply and spent time with us in our room to make sure we weren't nervous about the next day's travel.
Restaurant Tip:
Enjoy the boil-them-yourself vegetables on the breakfast buffet.
